I wear white after Labor Day 😜

Okay, hear me out! I live in Alabama and it stays hot until November. To keep cool, white is just the way to go. And when the weather does start to drop, I bring out “winter white” sweaters, booties, coats, and hats. Don’t get me wrong, there are certain whites that just don’t work. Summer whites don’t belong in winter weather. But Labor Day is not a hard and fast line to draw in the South. Welcome to my Ted Talk.

Palms Away 🌴

One of my favorite things about is their classy and cute way of making it fun for the kiddos and parents at the same time. This area is called The Village Lawn. They have different activities each night- like rock climbing, balloon animals, face painting, bounce houses, etc. But every night you are sure to eat at food trucks, listen to music, and watch your kids play on a giant pile of sand or color chalk or play life size board games. They’ll update their website the week of with all the happenings for each night.

This man right here spent our vacation putting his family first. He lifted heavy things, made and packed lunches, put babies down for naps so I could spent time with family and friends, passed up getting his favorite dessert to let Ford swim one last time before we left, drove both ways while the rest of us napped in the car.
