Hellooo, happy Tuesday! As you may or may not have noticed, my activity on this account has decreased substantially and for one main reason, I am taking a bit of a different path in terms of my career and business. Let me explain a little more…
This year has been the biggest growth year for my business and I appreciate every single client and person that I’ve had the pleasure of working with or just connecting with as friends. My efforts in growing Elevation Branding worked very well and while the plan was to keep growing Elevation Branding, I was noticed by a large company that is in the drone and robotics industry because of all the work I put into my marketing.
After some conversation, they presented me with an offer to be their remote Marketing Manager and take on their marketing department and all marketing efforts. It was an offer that is truly a dream for me and I just couldn’t say no. They work on incredibly cool, future driven projects that make difficult work easier for companies like NASA, Transport Canada, Facebook/Meta, BC Ministry of Agriculture, Search and Rescue teams, Universities, Construction companies and so many others.
This is a little bittersweet for me as I still get to work from home with my pups by my side, with a very cool company/team in a dream role, but I will no longer be actively searching for clients with Elevation Branding. I will continue working with a select few of my long term clients and will take on projects that excite me, where my schedule allows, but this page will be fairly quiet moving forward. My main focus will be on this new role and I don’t want any of you to think I’ve gone missing, I had a few concerned friends and followers LOL.
THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart to every one of you for following me and supporting me on this business journey. Your support has meant so much and is a big part of what encouraged me to keep posting and growing my business and that turned into an opportunity I never expected but I am SO excited about it.

Social media isn’t reliable for your business. There, I said it. Is it a large part of how many businesses promote themselves and gain new customers? Yes, and it’s a great platform… but it shouldn’t be the only way you do that because as we’ve seen time and time again, social media fails sometimes, there are glitches and things you can’t control which can cause you to lose your account. If that’s your only source of promoting and gaining new customers, you’re going to panic, I would too.
Instead of getting stuck in the situation where you lose your account and all that it includes, use other sources to promote your business and stay connected like the ones in this video!

Helloooo, Happy Monday!!!
I had some fun in the studio recently, swipe for a few of my faves then come back here ⬇️ for some random facts about me (Carli) and Elevation Branding!
➡️ I have quite literally always had a love for art and design in every aspect which lead me to a career in Graphic Design and Marketing and grew into my business, Elevation Branding. Now, I specialize in branding, websites, social media and marketing. I work with businesses of all size from new/small businesses to large corporations.
➡️ My husband and I have the 3 sweetest dogs on the planet, Casey, Lilly and Tyson. They make appearances in my stories and have a highlight on my page because who doesn’t love a cute dog pic?
➡️ Almost year round, you can find me at the golf course with my husband getting as many rounds in as we can. It’s being outside, enjoying nature, challenging our scores to get better and being together! I get better the more we play and I can’t get to the LPGA without practice right? 😆
➡️ Some of my favourite local businesses are (obvi), .sawatzky
➡️ Elevation Branding has been in business for just over 8 years although I’ve been working in the design and marketing world for over 11 years! Time flies when you love what you do!
➡️ My focus is on providing the absolute best customer service, strategy and designs to all of my clients by continuing to learn and grow with this ever-changing industry. One of the ways I do that is by continuing my education, this winter I will be studying Marketing at The University of Toronto. Continuing to learn is so exciting to me which is also hilarious because I never liked school. Now that it’s for my business and my clients, it’s SO exciting!

Happy Monday!! I hope you’re all having a great start to your week! I’ve been a little quiet on here thanks to being very busy with client projects and life in general. I won’t complain because my goal is always to continue growing my business and that’s exactly what’s happening so I’m thrilled about it! Here’s a few things I’ve been doing to help with not getting overwhelmed and staying positive in this crazy world:
➡️ Social Media Breaks: I’ve posted before about consistency and how important it is to stay consistent but that doesn’t mean you can’t take breaks. I encourage you to take a break from social media when you’re feeling overwhelmed with work or anxious about what’s happening in the world. Tune out of socials and tune into yourself and what you can control.
➡️ Exercise: this helps me tremendously and it’s one of my non-negotiable things every morning to get my mind and body going.
➡️ Get Outside: as a golfer and nature lover, I prefer to be outside most of the year but winter gets a little harder because I’m not a fan of the cold. Making nightly walks with my husband and pups a part of my routine truly helps clear my mind at the end of the day and helps me relax before bed.
➡️ Writing out a daily schedule: sometimes looking at every single task you have for the week is overwhelming so I like to break it down day by day and write it in my daily calendar so I can cross off completed tasks and feel accomplished without thinking about everything else I need to do in the week.
➡️ Take breaks: Taking breaks during the day to step away from the computer screen helps me refocus if I’m feeling tired. Even if it’s just to go outside with my dogs for a few minutes, breaks are so so important. It’s hard when you’re busy but taking a break will actually help you.

Hi, Hey, Hello! Happy Monday! I’m Carli, the creator behind Elevation Branding. If you’re new here, welcome! If you’ve been here for a while, thank you for your continued support, it means the world to me.
Here’s a few fun facts about me:
➡️ I am a lover of all animals but especially my 3 dogs who make appearances frequently in my stories and highlights because they’re just too cute.
➡️ I have been married for 4 years to my best friend, golf partner, fur baby daddy and my biggest fan
➡️ I would eat cheese pizza everyday for every meal if it was healthy.
➡️ I went to college for graphic design over 10 years ago 😱. I worked in the corporate world in marketing for 4 years before venturing into my own business that started as graphic design only and has expanded/switched focus into branding, web design and social media.
➡️ I used to LOATHE web design but now it’s my favourite thing to do and I absolutely love working on websites!
➡️ I am resilient, my body and mind have taught me that over the years through plenty of medical challenges. I have learned to push through and take on anything that comes my way in life and in business. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger!
➡️ I believe that what’s meant to be, will be and that everything happens for a reason, even if we can’t see the reason right away.

I love a good Instagram hack and this one is one you’ll want to know about > ALT text on photo posts.
ALT text is essentially alternative text for photos that is used to describe your photos to visually impaired people AND for SEO/discoverability.
To add ALT text to new posts:
Create a photo post and scroll down to “advanced settings”. You will then see “accessibility” and under that, alt text. Click on the alt text and add your keywords in so Instagram can find you through those too!
If you’ve missed the boat on this one, don’t worry! You can add alt text to old photo posts too! Go to your post and hit edit. You’ll then see an option to edit ALT text where you can add your keywords in.

One thing that may not be thought of with branding and websites is that a brand and website makeover can actually make your life easier… and cooler of course but most importantly, easier. Having a strong brand and website that speaks for itself and works for you will make your life easier and help your business grow.

If you haven’t seen this yet, the Instagram recently posted about tips for hashtags and one of those tips was to only use 3-5 hashtags - bomb dropped. The number of recommended hashtags changes so frequently it’s hard to keep up but you have to remember that hashtags aren’t the be all, end all of Instagram. The most important thing is the quality of your content and having a strategy that works for you and your business. If you’re using 30 hashtags and seeing results, don’t worry about cutting it back to 3-5! If your current hashtag strategy isn’t working, try the 3-5 hashtag method and watch your insights to see if it works better for you.
