Hello friends 💓

I'm Hilary, an Akashic Records Teacher & Guide, and the heart behind The Akashic Portal. Today, I want to share a bit of my journey with you — a journey that transformed my life and led me to this beautiful work.

In 2011, while attending the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC, I was diagnosed with severe aplastic anemia and told I would need a life-saving bone marrow transplant. This marked the beginning of a healing journey that changed everything. During my recovery, I realized my heart was leading me to a new path, one where I could share, create, and connect with others in meaningful ways.

This began as a blog in 2013, and since then, my business has evolved in countless ways. Yet, my dedication to sharing, creating, connecting, and being of service has never wavered.

Throughout my healing journey, I trained in modalities like Kundalini Yoga, Breathwork, and Reiki, but it wasn’t until I found the Akashic Records in 2019 that I knew I was home. Since then, I've devoted myself to sharing the Records with all who feel called to their magic.

A brief history of the Akashic Records ◠ ◡ The word Akasha is a Sanskrit word meaning “sky” or "ether" and its interpretation spans across many ancient cultures and religions. Indians, Jews, Egyptians, Chinese, Moors, Druids, Persians, Tibetans, Greeks, and Mayans all consulted the Akasha and referenced it in ancient text before it reached Western awareness.

A few places it is referenced throughout history:

✧ In the Bible it is referenced as the Book of Life
✧ The Old Testament mentions a collection of knowledge written on the fabric of reality
✧ In Psalm 139, David explains that God has written down his entire "history" — everything about him and all the details of his life — even that which is imperfect and those deeds which have yet to be performed
✧ The ancient Indian sages of the Himalayas knew that each soul, jiva, atma, or entity recorded every moment of its existence in a "book"
✧ Nostradamus claimed to have gained access to the Akasha, using methods derived from the Greek oracles, Christian and Sufi mysticism and the Kabbalah

Whether it is being referred to as the Akashic Records, The Book of Life, or the Akasha, there are many ways to access this immeasurable field of all that was, is, and will ever be. They are not tied to a specific culture or religion, they belong to the cosmos. 🌀

I don’t talk about this often here but I felt called to share this piece of my life with you. Today I am celebrating the 10th anniversary of my bone marrow transplant. This is such a monumental moment for me because the transplant was my second chance at life 🦋 I think of this as Day #1 — the first day of the rest of my life. While this single event doesn’t define me, it undeniably led me to where I am and who I am today.

In honor of this momentous anniversary, I am sharing 10 invitations that my transplant opened up within me on The Dreamerie blog. My intention is to bring others into this self-inquiry, whether you’re navigating your health journey or not.

Tools To Run an Intuitive Business - The Dreamerie Learn the 11 top tools, both energetic and practical, that I used to lead my conscious business.

Demystifying common misconceptions about the Akashic Records ⚡️

1. You have to be sitting on a meditation pillow to receive guidance in the Records — Nope! Many of my clients struggle to feel connected when opening their Records in this way. Instead, I recommend opening up your Records on a walk, when journaling, or working on a creative project.

2. You can somehow "mess this up" through not taking the right steps — Impossible! It is important to feel grounded when opening your Records but you can’t mess this up. 🙃

3. The Records will tell you something that you don't want to hear or that the information won't be for your highest good — The Records are pure love and light. They will only share what you are ready to receive and it will always be for your highest good.

4. You have to be trained to open the Records and not everyone can open the Records — Not at all! We all have access to the Records and if you’re feeling called to them in any way (which I’m guessing you are by being here!) then trust that calling. You can access the Records through meditation, Sacred prayer, working with Spirit guides, and intuitive study. I recommend going in without expectations and being in the energy of your guides.

You can’t control what's happening around you, as hard as you may try.
What you can control is what is happening within you.

As we prepare to move into the holiday season, a gentle reminder that no matter what is unfolding within or around you, you can always come back to your breath.

Here is a simple breathwork practice to ground and anchor you:

One hand on belly, one hand on heart. Become aware of your breath, the prana [life force energy] within you. Deeply inhale through your nose, feeling your belly rise, and slowly exhale, feeling your breath move up and out. Repeat 3x. Allow your breath to come back to its natural rhythm, sitting in this place of stillness and non-judgmental observation for as long as you need. Send your body love and thank it for all it does for you.

When I went into the Akashic Records of my business to ask what I was meant to create next, they were so clear:

“The time is now to put this in the world.”

It’s time to drop the stories, ideas, projections, should’s and narratives we’ve been carrying around and turn back into our hearts and find our way back to who we really are.

It’s time to look around at the boxes we’ve put ourselves in and ask, “What would it look like to live outside of this - this societal expectation, family conditioning or self-defined standard - and drop back into the Soul-level truth of what’s lighting me up, what feels most present, what feels most alive?”

Do you feel pressure to show up perfectly or not at all?

This is a question that has been on my heart as of late. When things don’t feel “perfect” or if I’m not sure if what I’m sharing is landing or resonating in the way I intend it to, there is a tendency to want to retract. To go back into my shell and come back out when I feel “ready.”

In Coming Home To Yourself, I talk about co-existing with your ego, and this has been an ever-present invitation. I know this is the part of me that just wants to keep me safe and that I get the choice to meet myself with Love. Over and over again.

Here’s to breaking up with perfectionism and allowing ourselves to be a clear channel for Divine. 👁

When you’re tapped into your Soul’s purpose, you’re in a place of flow. You’re in a space of service that supports not only yourself but the collective because our Soul’s purpose doesn’t exist in a silo, but always impacts the greater good.

That’s what creates fulfillment.
