The clock is ticking and the Volcano is soon erupting. Everyone needs to take their rightful positions as PHYSIOTHERAPISTS AND NOT Ass. PTs. The like minded individuals have taken a step forward...every single physiotherapist who is oppressed should only stand to support them...it's coming sooner than we thought.

Just comment YES WE CAN is you will support these noble Men and Women in this fight again the few selfish individuals......

Good evening PT family. It is quite unfortunate to start 2017 o. A wrong foot of battle yet again. In 2014 we spent tremendous efforts in uniting this noble profession by holding several stake holders meetings to come up with an acceptable document "The scheme of Service for PTs" and a common document was agreed upon, little did we know that there were some forces who still went behind our backs and forwarded the highly contentious document which Branded all Diploma holders as ASSISTANT PHYSIOTHERAPISTS. We were shocked to see the Meru County Goverment advertising for Ass. PTs with qualifications of Diploma in physiotherapy. This leaves us with the following quations:

1. In all the DIPLOMA CERTIFICATES IN THIS COUNTRY KENYA we are PHYSIOTHERAPISTS

2. In all PRACTICING LICENSES OF PHYSIOTHERAPISTS WITH DIPLOMA CERTIFICATES WE ARE PHYSIOTHERAPISTS

3. Who then are THESE ASSISTANT PHYSIOTHERAPISTS WITH DIPLOMA CERTIFICATES?

4. Which institutions trained these Diploma certificates referred to as ASS. PHYSIOTHERAPISTS?

5. I have gone through the PCK guidelines and the constitution of KSP and there's no mention of Ass. PTs anywhere...where did this Document come from and who authorized it. Mr. Chair KSP and Mr. Chair PCK Please answer to this question

6. Where WAS the so called KSP that ALL PHYSIOTHERAPISTS in KENYA are affiliated to and what's their position on this?

7. Without these questions being addressed adequately within the next 14 days then Ladies and gentlemen let's be ready to fearlessly fight this DEMEANING, FRUSTRATING AMD OPPRESSING TILTLE UNTIL WE GET BACK OUR PRIDE.

WITH THIS TITLE WE LOOSE EVERYTHING THAT WE'VE been privileged to enjoy over the years some of them being:

1. We no longer qualify to be a member of WCPT

2. You can no longer be given DIRECT Admission to any South African University and be awarded a Honors Degree Certificate in one year. Instead you will start afresh and undergraduate student and take four years in school for your degree

3. You can no longer work abroad in Countries like UK, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Botswana, or even UGANDA...!!! As it used to be. You will be regarded as An Assistant PT with NO FORMAL TRAINING AND NO RECOGNITION......

4. Your employer especially those in private sector will have to reconsider your Salary and Duties...they won't trust you anymore.

Comrades what we are asking for is proper explanation of what exactly happened...without which we are up in arms until THIS DEMEANING TITLE IS WITHDRAWN........
