It is great to congratulate Fred Kemp on 34 years at Bachelor Point. Fred was an important asset that we gained when we took over the Bachelor Point location 25 years ago. His carpentry and rigging skills have been a huge part of our business -from the making of a log canoe mast, the restoration of several other log canoes, and many repairs in wooden boats. He recently made a beautiful teak deck covering in our Ocean Master project. We hope that we can continue to have other employees take in some of Fred’s knowledge for many more years.

Ok everyone, the wait is over. Starting on October 4th, Capsize will be offering a new fall and winter menu. The theme for the menu will be a steak house!!! We will be offering great cuts of beef and other proteins with lots of shareable side options. This will be a great new place for you to dine as the days and nights get a little cooler. The menu is soon to follow in the next week, so stay tuned.

Wow, what a perfect cool temperature this morning! Today is going to be a high of 79° and with the low humidity we are feeling this morning, I think it’s going to be a perfect day to come to ! Take a ferry ride or and come visit the Treasure Chest for shopping among our artisan crafts! Have lunch at one of the restaurants, or grab sandwiches at the deli in the Oxford Market to eat in Town Park. Finish the trip with ice cream too! (Took this photo of the ferry last Tuesday when we passed by it by boat!)
