The GEF Golden Apple Awards are open for nominations! Annually, three teaching staff and one support staff will receive Golden Apple Awards and will be awarded $1000. Parents, students and community members can nominate teachers and staff of Grafton Schools for their exemplary dedication and work in preparing learners for a dynamic tomorrow. A huge thank you to who donated to the staff gift cards and sent in treats this week.
We were able to give each staff member a $30 gift card and on Monday they had cookies and candy canes. Yesterday I dropped off donuts and muffins.
We got a few thank you cards from teachers and the staff wanted me to share their sincere thanks.

John Long Middle School Staff Appreciation Donations Request!
This group is new this year and our only goal is to show our appreciation to the JLMS staff! So far we've stocked their break room and provided them with an amazing dinner over conference week.

We are hoping to organize two more events this school year - one before winter break and one during Teacher Appreciation Week in May.
Here is where we need help:

What: Gift cards for our Holiday Appreciation Drive. We hope to have enough gift cards to treat each staff member.
OR provide a sweet treat for the staff lounge if you aren't a gift card person :)

When: Collecting now, through Friday, December 16th, 2022
Drop off sweet treat with the label "JLMS Staff Lounge" Monday, December 18.

How: Send any gift card (unused) in any denomination to the JLMS office. Please put in an envelope with "JLMS Holiday" on the outside.
Or Venmo for us to purchase extra cards (please add “GHS Staff Appreciation” in description).

Why: Because we have an amazing group of educators, maintenance, office staff, lunch servers, etc, that have committed themselves to helping students in various ways. What a great way to say Thank You!

When you are planning for the holidays, don't forget the middle school teachers and staff!
We wanted to make it easy for you this year so we are doing a gift card collection. Our hope is to have enough gift cards donated so every teacher gets one (or more).
Don't want to do a gift card? We will also be looking for treats to spoil the teachers and staff the last week of December.
Look for more information in early December but keep this in mind while shopping!

Our introductory project is to spoil our teachers this homecoming week. Bring in any item to "stock the lounge". Think K-Cups, chips, candy, cookies. Drop your donation at the office any time this week. If you can't help this week, we will be doing something for conference week.
