Posh for A Purpose is a community-minded organization driven to affect the lives of brave breast cancer patients and survivors along with their caregivers.

Posh for A Purpose is a community-minded organization driven by a passion to affect the lives of everyday individuals throughout society. So often the focus has been placed on celebrities and other well-known individuals. While the support of these celebrities, community leaders and advocates are both needed and certainly appreciated, PAP is committed to placing the spotlight on the brave patients

and survivors along with their caregivers who have actually experienced the fight first hand. This includes those who may currently have breast cancer and are living through it, as well as those who have endured breast cancer and are in remission. Breast cancer is one of the leading causes of death among women. Women who have been diagnosed first deal with agonizing questions and personal concerns. “Why me? God, will I die? What about my children? What if they have to remove my breast….will my husband still find me desirable?” Then they actually have to endure all the pain, surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, hair loss, scarring, and if necessary, the ultimate…..mastectomy. This entire process often culminates with lasting mental and emotional effects, as well as changes in self esteem.

“Churches United For A Cause” Fashion Show Fundraising Gala will consist of models who have experienced the fight with breast cancer. This affair will offer them an evening of glamour, excitement, pampering, elegant detail, luxurious gowns selected specifically to compliment each model and custom wigs for those who may have experienced hair loss, all of which will be showcased throughout the evening. There will also be professional makeup artists present to restore eyebrows, lashes, and skin discoloration, which may have occurred as a result of treatment. As an added gift of appreciation and honor to the models, PAP has arranged for these luxurious garments to become a permanent part of their individual wardrobes. This experience, which includes several other amenities, are all offered and designed to ensure that our models feel empowered and as beautiful as they so desire. What makes this PAP Gala uniquely different from many other breast cancer awareness events is its desire to also include and place the spotlight on those who are caregivers as well. You may be wondering “Why caregivers”? Caregivers, who are often unrecognized and underappreciated, play an intricate role in the healing process of so many breast cancer survivors. They aid in areas of assisting patients through the initial shock of diagnosis, medical visits, surgeries, chemotherapy, long nights, mental and emotional stress, and the overall care of the entire family, while they are helping to guide them back to good health. PAP solicits and welcomes all support, financial and in-kind. In partnership with the Susan G. Komen Greater Atlanta, in an effort to leave lasting impressions in the lives of the wonderful participants and to even further the effort to find a cure, PAP will donate a portion of the proceeds from this event to the Susan G. Komen Greater Atlanta Foundation. Through sponsorships, donations and contributions, PAP will create an incredible night of elegance for everyone in attendance and especially for the participants, who we honor!

We are thrilled to reintroduce **Posh for a Purpose, Inc.**—our cancer non-profit organization. We launched this initiative back in 2013 for a special friend who battled breast cancer and proudly continues to thrive as a survivor today.

Over time, as Posh for a Purpose took a hiatus, we evolved and recognized the need for broader cancer awareness. In response to the diverse challenges faced by those affected, we are dedicated to raising awareness, offering support, and advocating for better care across all cancer diagnoses. Our renewed focus is on all cancer survivors, regardless of their diagnosis.

We are excited to announce our first “Tricancerlon,” featuring a 5K walk, a fall festival, and a fundraiser—all in one day! Through these events, we’ll raise funds to support cancer survivors and contribute to established cancer organizations, furthering the quest for a cure.
