Join Yoga Teacher & Sound Therapist, Mary Henry along with Samantha Taylor, Acupuncturist and Reiki Master for this 2.5 hour workshop, integrating the practice of Restorative Yoga, Sound Healing and Acupuncture, all supported with some gentle energy work.
This reflective workshop is based on the powerful Astrological energies that have been building through from march up to the end of April. Between 2 x eclipses, mercury in retrograde and a full moon in scorpio, the energy at the end of April should be palpable, and most people will feel something being stirred up within.
Astrologically, we are being asked to challenge our own perspectives, to look at all our conditioning, inherited patterns, unhealthy go-to’s, victimhood etc….. And with that, we are being invited to shake out of it, move into a deeper, truer part of ourselves and connect to our own soverningty, which involves tapping in to and possessing our own supreme and ultimate power. This is the entry point to our inner creativity, self love, originality, self expression and ultimately… freedom!
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
The focus of the workshop will be ‘shifting your perspective’
The morning will start with some gentle vagus nerve breathwork to help everyone arrive and ground into the body. Some introspection is invited before guiding you through a Restorative Yoga session. Mary will guide you through a series of inversions to help the body to shift your current perspective, wake up the senses and start looking at things from a different angle.
Sam will be applying acupuncture, focusing on the Liver Meridian which is connected to spring season in chinese medicine. Liver Qi is in charge of the ‘free flow’ of energy through the body. When this is not ‘free flowing’ we get stagnation in the body and the mind, our emotions get stuck and frustration builds. We see the world through a victim lens. With the Liver Qi ‘opening into the eyes’, again, a fresh perspective is invited in.
Throughout the workshop Reiki with be used by both Mary and Sam to help support the mind and body. This combination will allow you to move deeper into your body whilst creating a safe and compassionate space for you to let go of anything you need to release in your life.

Beautiful Brenda one of my students in crow pose last night. Crow pose works primarily on clearing the root chakra - the posture helps to develop a strong sense of security in the self. We also worked on other grounding poses last night and finished with some aromatherapy oils and a sound bath. Next week we will work on the sacral chakra.

The lions 🦁 gateway portal is a very powerful energy that opens every year from July 26th to August 12th. It heightens on August 8th when the ☀️ aligns with Sirius, Orion’s Belt and the 🌍. This is s powerful day of expansion and manifesting. Here are some things you can do if you want to maximise and work with this energy: Meditate and visualise what you would like to create - use and work with the number 8 here. You can light 8 candles and infuse them with intentions or you can write down 8 wishes or goals. Use your creativity here- maybe create a visual for this. If you don’t want to meditate go into nature if you can and spend some time daydreaming about your future and create a mandala of items from the garden or forest to represent your goals- take a picture to hold onto and remind you. This day is also a time to release the past and memories that are not allowing you to be in your present life. If you feel blocked 🚫 by the past do a ritual like a salt bath or cleanse yourself with sage or sound before you do your manifestation as this will help to bring in the new energy. Movement like dancing or yoga 🧘‍♀️ will also help to release old stagnant energy and emotions. I will post a video later this afternoon as well to guide you through a visualisation.
