Focaccia bread adalah roti yg berasal dari Italy yg adunannya seperti pizza. Ia terkadang ada taburan herbs & bahan2 lainnya seperti garlic, tomato rosemary…😋

The GoodFat’s rendition of such a divine combo sandwich, with yours truly, Enriched Butter Sourdough. Make your own version!

My father in law is a genius at quick fix meals 👨‍🍳 From back in the 90s he's been making this delicious spicy, savoury sandwich from leftover (savoury slow cooked beef in spicy coconut gravy). It needs to be at least a day old, cos leftover rendang tastes wayyy better.

With a sandwich maker (the kind you press down to make triangular sandwiches), he'll make the sandwiches by generously spreading butter, cheese and beef rendang between sliced breads. And its the best thing ever!

Recently, we had some leftover Beef Rendang and I made a version of this with enriched butter and our classic flavour . And I love it!

Here're the steps:

Toast bread slices (both sides) on cast iron pan, medium low. No oil or butter needed to grease the pan.

Midway while toasting, assemble on the pan:
✨Spread Kombu Butter on inner side of toast. Surprisingly, Kombu Butter compliments the rendang flavours very well
✨Layer on the cheese, I use Havarti for gooey goodness
✨ Add in beef chunks of rendang, along with rendang gravy
✨ Finish assembly and give it a final flip on the pan and serve

Crispy toasts on both ends with spicy savoury and buttery fillings. I swear, this has to go on the menu when we start shop.
