Leftovers Fried Rice with Ham, a small recipe made in my 10” BSR Chef skillet. I love this skillet so much. I end up using it at least half the time I cook and it’s super slick. I don’t have any chef skillets available to sell right now, but I do highly recommend them. Wagner made the one I see most commonly. At 9”, it’s a little smaller than mine and it came both fully marked with the Wagner logo and also came unmarked.
Anyway, back to the food portion of the post. Fried rice is a great way to use up leftover meat or even leftover veggies. Unfortunately I hadn’t planned ahead so I hadn’t grown any bean sprouts- almost a must-have to me but it takes about 5 days to grow them to a good size. Give fried rice a try and have a great week everyone!
Pepperoni Pizza Rolls-
I’ve been meaning to try this recipe for a long time and finally made it today. I think next time I’d cut them into more pieces to make smaller rolls because they are huge. I’m not a very good photographer and I don’t own nice plates anymore lol but I do recommend the recipe. I’ll include it in the comments (the roll recipe is from the lodge website.
Nothing smells as good as Bread Day. It was kind of a comedy of errors from start to finish but luckily dough is forgiving. I used my standard Dinner Roll recipe, but forgot that the last time I used the recipe I changed the amounts so that they make X-Large rolls for Thanksgiving instead of small rolls. I should have realized but didn’t until I’d already mixed some of the ingredients so I just rolled with it (see what I did there?). So instead of just making 11 Cloverleaf rolls plus the extra in my treasured #3 Skillet, I ended up also making an 11” pepperoni pizza with the extra dough (which of course involved having to scramble to find and prep toppings and cheese). No biggie and typical Lois behavior if I’m honest lol. Hope you all have a great week!
Our Story
I sell cast iron because I love finding an old neglected pan, restoring it, and passing it on to someone else who will appreciate its beauty, history and usefulness. I especially love vintage cast iron with its smooth cooking surface and lighter weight. With cast iron, there's no need to worry about toxic nonstick coatings flaking off of pans and into your food. Food just tastes better when cooked in cast iron. Best of all, if you treat it properly cast iron can last you the rest of your life and can be a wonderful keepsake to pass on to your children. As one of my dear customers joked to me, “the kids won’t argue over your Teflon pans!”
It's extremely important to me that no one is surprised or disappointed in a purchase from me. Please inspect all pictures carefully and don't hesitate to ask me questions. Unless otherwise specified, all pans have been cleaned down to the bare metal and seasoned with at least three rounds of seasoning. It is ready to use as soon as it arrives at your house. The seasoning of the pan will continue to improve the more you use it. Your pan will come with some cleaning/cooking tips to help you learn to care for and use your pan. Feel free to ask me any questions both prior to buying and afterwards. If I don't know the answer, I'll find out for you.
