The BRIDGE Healthcare Clinic is a student-run free clinic located at the University of South Florida right next to the University Area Community. Our goal is to create a health facility where patients are treated compassionately and cared for through the collaboration of medicine, physical therapy, social work, public health, and pharmacy providers. Happy Saturday! The BRIDGE Clinic is looking for student volunteers to serve as Spanish interpreters for our team! BRIDGE clinic runs every Tuesday night and the last Thursday of every month from 5:30-9:30PM! If you are an undergraduate or graduate student fluent in Spanish and willing to provide translation services to help better serve our patients, please reach out to [email protected]! Underserved patients at BRIDGE Healthcare Clinic will benefit from a generous donation from professor Dr. Beata Casañas in honor of her late husband - USF alumnus, professor and beloved Tampa Bay physician Dr. Robert Casañas.
The couple was married for 19 years and shared their devotion to their young daughter, Cassandra Casañas. On behalf of herself and Cassandra, Dr. Beata Casañas donated all of the medical equipment from her late husband’s private medical practice office.
Dr. Casañas, who passed away in 2020, was a close friend to many at USF, remembered for his love of medicine and contributions to the Tampa Bay area. This gift will continue his legacy of practicing humanistic medicine by serving the health care needs of university-area patients.
