One of my favorite go-to quick meals? Think of the childhood favorite buttery noodles but add in fiber, protein (you can use lentil pasta), and a gluten free approach with loads of greens and a little spicy kick. Plus 9 variations. Kid and family approved, and everyone is happy!

Stop scrolling for just a second, I want to ask you something important.
These days, these weeks, over and over I think about what is important to me, what gives me life, what inspires me (aside from family and the people I love). And I want to ask you the same question, since it's so essential to creating the life you love.
Without rhyme or reason or money or fame, what makes you glow? What makes you smile, get chills, tear up?
Take a few minutes today, you deserve it for yourself, and write yourself a list. And do those things, often. Daily. You deserve to be lit up. But most importantly, you deserve to listen to yourself.
Who says anyone's opinion is better than your own? Why worry if you're right or wrong? You know deep in your gut what's important to you and why. Trust yourself.
Follow what you love. And comment below what it is. I'd love to know!
Mine are: music, flowers, food and nature (in all of its forms). Basically, the beauty of all of these moves me to tears. Not necessarily in that order, but all combined. And I will be seeking these things for the rest of my life.
Your turn!

Local friends: I’m excited to teach again at Brookdale this spring, featuring the Dahlia Fever class. This class would work well for beginners as well as advanced dahlia growers who need a refresher or have specific questions answered. We'll cover varieties, planting, staking, propagating, feeding, pruning dahlia plants for your garden, and everything in between. Learn how to prune and cut dahlias for the greatest vase life, in addition to growing your tuber collection, digging up, and harvesting at the end of the season. We will also have dahlias for sale, to help you get started right away. Excited to have you join in!

Can you hear it? Spring is in the air. I've been seeing and hearing robins everywhere, with their full round bellies and amazing songs.
And with the first day of spring only 26 days away, and with only 4 spring CSAs left in our shop, I'm getting excited to share these beauties with you. We offer specialty tulips, fragrant heirloom narcissus, poppies, lilac, ranunculus, anemones and more!
Click the link in bio and find the shop to grab yours before they're gone.

Good morning! ☀️Coming to you with a delicious breakfast idea: the pomelo breakfast bowl with millet and pistachios.
Millet is an alkaline, gluten-free nutty grain and it's paired here with coconut yogurt, pomelo (find out more about it in the blog post) and crunchy pistachios. Over-the-top delicious. It's citrus season, and we're eating it up.
Grab the recipe here.

Last minute sale on a handful of Valentine's Day bouquets left - we have a limited run of these beautiful everlastings for your love.
For me, dried flowers (or everlastings) symbolize endless, never-ending love. They are actually "everlasting", which means you can keep them forever, never wilt or change....they have amazing bright colors, in hues of pink, dusty rose, plums, cranberry, ivory and wine. They include celosia, feverfew, amaranth, strawflowers, oats, and more....
They bring sunshine into the room in the middle of winter.
Local pick ups only, $25 each.
Grab them while they're here!
Turns out these CSAs make amazing Valentine's Day gifts - why get one bouquet when you can get 4 or 5?
I truly believe nothing is more beautiful than working within the design of nature: seasonal blooms grown with love, without pesticides, with pollinators and biodiversity in mind, blooming at the time they're meant to bloom. When they're locally grown, you get more of those varieties that we never see because they're hard to ship. Now you get to see them and experience them live. They're healthier, have more fragrance and last longer too. Give your valentine the freshest, most unique blooms you can find!
We have:
🌷Spring CSA shares (specialty narcissus, ranunculus, poppies, fancy tulips and more)
🌻Summer CSA shares (gladiolus, sunflowers, early dahlias, wildflower mixes, iris, snaps, celosia, and more)
🌸Dahlia CSA: August towards fall we grow gorgeous dahlias
Gift box with certificate available with purchase.
Links to all of our CSAs are found here: https://littlebitesofjoy.com/shop/
PS. You should buy yourself flowers too :)
Thanks, friends!

Here's a fun vegan mushroom soup recipe that uses homemade cashew milk (with a little secret: as it cooks, it thickens and creates this amazing whole-food based creamy soup!) Savory, umami, comforting on cold days. It's an older recipe from 4 years ago but I still make it often and repeatedly, since it comes together so quickly with only 4 ingredients. Can't beat that!

It took us 2 month so digging, washing, sorting, dividing, drying, and storing to bring you our finalized list of dahlia varieties that we have. It's been a wild and fun adventure for sure, and 2024 is going to be a gorgeous year! 🌸
If you love dahlias, I am planning to have a sale this spring, date TBD. For now, enjoy the list and see which varieties will make it in the sale.

I'm looking for ways to slow down in winter (easier said than done), and I rely on decorating to help me do that - home made and simple is best, like this apple, dried orange and sage garland. It's so fun to make, especially with the sage growing right in the garden, and a few extra beautiful and fragrant ingredients you probably have laying around.

I've quickly become addicted to farmers market apples (thank you ) and with the last coming up this Sunday, I wanted to share a gorgeous apple cinnamon oatmeal recipe that has become a staple on busy fall mornings.
Don't underestimate the simple: while it takes no time to make, it's filling, creamy, spiced just right and keeps me energized for whatever I have to do (such as endless fall gardening prep).
