Hallowell Community Band
The Hallowell Community Band is an ensemble based in Hallowell, Maine, dedicated to the pursuit of musical excellence.
The group performs concerts every Thursday evening in Boothbay Harbor, Maine, on the lawn of the library.
Happy 100th Birthday to the Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library! The library has been the host location for our summer concerts for more than 50 of those years! We were happy to end the celebration tonight with our first concert of the summer series. Thanks you all who joined us.
What a wonderful way to celebrate Independence Day! The band played the Augusta parade in the morning and our annual 4th of July concert in Boothbay Harbor prior to the fireworks. Both drew very large, enthusiastic crowds.
If you have other (perhaps better) photos of the band please feel free to share. Enjoy the holiday weekend all!
We are looking forward to R.B. Hall Day, this year hosted by the Bridgton Community Band! Here’s the schedule for June 29.
Have you been thinking about picking up that instrument again? Or joining a really freindly community band? Now’s a great time! Rehearsals for our summer season start on Monday, May 20 at 6:30. We rehearse at the Gardiner Elks Lodge. Send us a message if you’d like more information!
Rehearsals begin again on Monday, March 4! We can’t wait to see our returning musicians, and we warmly welcome new members, too! We rehearse Monday evenings from 6:30 - 8:00 at the Gardiner Elks Lodge and we’ve got a great spring & summer schedule planned. If you are interested in joining us, please send us a private message for more information.
