Elvis Presley Painting Reproductions by Marge Nichols

Thinking about my mother today on the 45th anniversary of Elvis Presley's death. My mother was a portrait artist for many years. Following the death of Elvis Presley, she began researching his life and embarked upon a career of making his portraits her main focus. She was commissioned to supply one of her paintings to serve as the image for the world's first picture disk for an album titled "To Elvis, Love Still Burning". She went on to sell her renderings to fans and made friends around the world, including family and friends of Elvis. Her only form of her marketing was a small inscription on the back of this album with a PO box to Desert Paradise Productions, a company formed for the sole purpose of correspondence. When my mother passed, my sister and I found a large box of remaining, unopened fan mail and photo orders she was unable to address. Several years ago, I created this page with this story and her work and still receive comments today. I wonder now how her networks would have grown with the ability of social media. A true talent! ❤🎨
