We oppose the natural Tugun and Bilinga dunes being decimated by the construction of a path. Instead, we support the dunes preservation and revegetation.

The construction of which will decimate the dunes as heavy machinery will have to access the area by the dunes themselves. A interesting and contradictory thought, considering the GCCC's past and ongoing attempts at dune rehabilitation. We believe that this is Council money poorly spent as simply clearing the encroachments will cost over a quarter of a million dollars
before any path is contemplated. This is not a bike path. Council Reports have found that it will be unsuitable for wheelchairs (not meeting any requisite standards) or strollers and as far as we can tell will serve LITTLE PURPOSE AT ALL. People prefer to walk on the beach and we want to send this message to the GCCC and Chris Robbins, our local representative, as strongly as possible. PLEASE HELP US STOP THIS URGENTLY! This Cheap Fix is not in keeping with the beauty of this stretch of beachfront. Do you think the council would try to get away with this in Hedges Av or Albatross Av? We do not want the path because we do not need the path. The projected path is no more than an ugly dirt track and we refuse to watch the GCCC destroy the natural beauty of the Tugun coastline. GCCC, please take the path elsewhere, because we will not have it.
