I’m excited to collaborate with Teach about Women to offer a workshop on Monday, April 29 in partnership with NYSAIS. This daylong workshop will feature sessions led by Carley Moore, Georgina Emerson, and me. We will share ways high school teachers can design feminist electives or integrate a unit on intersectional feminism into a course with a wider scope.

Veronica Arreola from The Feminist Agenda Podcast made this incredible podcast featuring my high school feminism class of juniors and seniors. If you are seriously interested in teaching a critical feminisms course at your school, I highly recommend listening to this podcast. And then listen to it with your colleagues at a department meeting and then at a faculty meeting. And definitely listen to it with your students. It’s seriously that good. I love my students. It’s an hour: 20 minutes of me talking feminist pedagogies with Veronica and then 40 minutes of my badass feminist students talking about what learning women of color feminisms and intersectionality means to them. Listen now. is a movement.
