The Process opened Friday 2/24 at The Swift Street Gallery 403-C Swift Street Santa Cruz. If you missed it, you have another chance to meet the artists on First Friday 3/3 from 6:00-9:00.
The show will stay up until 3/28, and the gallery is open Monday through Friday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

(Hopefully the flooding will subside and the roads will be passable in time for me to get to Boulder Creek.)

The Yellow Rumped Warbler is complete.
Only the bird and the lichen are going to be stitched. The bird because that is the subject of this piece, and the lichen because the color matches the bird’s yellow feathers.
This will be hanging in the Swift Street Gallery show “The Process” opening February 24th 2023.

This image is one of Lisa Sheridan’s many photos of the birds she loves. We found refuge with her and her family when we were evacuated from the CZU Lightning fire in August 2020. They welcomed us into their home for 12 days, and our fear and anxiety was greatly eased by being in a safe place with such loving people.

If you are planning to visit Santa Cruz in October, you are invited to come see the premier show of the new Swift Street Gallery at SignAge & ArtWorks.
Eight of my original hand embroidered pieces are on display.
For anyone who cannot be there for the opening, we will also be open 6:00 - 9:00 for First Friday on 10/7, and the show will be up for the month of October.

Swift Street Gallery is opening September 30th!

My husband Randy and I just returned from a wonderful weekend at the Redwood Ramble, where I performed this original tune at the Chick Wagon All-Girl R***e with my good friends Jen Rund on bass and Alia Fintz on sax.
It was the largest audience yet, and the best rendition with some melody to add to the percussion. Thanks to Randy for capturing it on video.
