Please also make sure you are operating a generator in a proper fashion!

❄️Cold weather reminder:

✅Plug space heaters directly into the wall outlet and turn off when you leave or go to sleep.

❌Do NOT plug space heaters into power strips or extension cords. Using an extension cord with high wattage appliances can start a fire.

✋Keep anything that can burn at least 3ft from heating equip (furnace, fireplace, wood stove, portable heater).

13/01/2024

With the cold weather approaching, here are some easy ways to help with energy reduction:

❄️ Lower heating system thermostats by 3-5 degrees. (Just one degree makes a big difference!)
❄️ Turn off nonessential lights and appliances.
❄️ Unplug unused electrical equipment.
❄️ Keep window coverings closed on the non-sunny side of homes, but open if bright sunlight is available to provide additional heat.
❄️ After using your oven, leave the door ajar for additional heat. (Only if kiddos and animals are not around!)

The price gouging law makes it unlawful to charge a price that is grossly in excess of the price charged prior to the emergency.
