The Blairs in Slovenia
We are Assemblies of God missionaries proclaiming the love and hope of Jesus to the Slovene people. They have one son, Aidan who is 3.
The Blairs are missionaries living in the European country of Slovenia. As the only AGWM missionaries in Slovenia, they partner with the national Pentecostal church by reaching a country that struggles with alcoholism and depression, along with reaching out to marginalized people groups living in Slovenia. Dan grew up in Ohio, and Abigail grew up in Hungary as a missionary kid. They met at Contine
We truly don’t have the words to express how grateful we are, that the FireBible in Slovene, Sveto pismo +, is a reality, and is now available to the Slovene people! This past week was the launch, and we were honored to have guests from America - Life Publishers, as well as pastors from churches who financially partnered with the project, who joined leadership and pastors from the Slovenian Pentecostal movement in attendance. It was an incredibly moving night! We had a wonderful time of worship, followed by a description of the process, a charge, praying over the Bibles, and eventually everyone in attendance was given their very own Sveto pismo +! After nearly 4 years of work, we are so grateful to God for this incredible tool, which we know will make a huge impact for generations to come! Thank you to everyone who was a part of this process! .europe +
Thank you for praying for our regular/weekly ministries to the families in our community! Both English Club and our mommy and me ministry (Rajalnica) have new members, and we are excited for the doors that God is opening.
We so enjoyed visiting and ministering in the city of Novo mesto yesterday. Dan preached on being open to God’s call and mission on our lives, and there was a powerful time of prayer afterwards. We are so grateful for their generosity!
Thank you for making the Slovenian FireBible a reality! We are so thankful for your partnership in bringing this amazing resource to Slovenia.
Have you ever wondered what 1000 Bibles looks like?? 🔥 The Slovenian FireBible, Sveto Pismo + shipment arrived in country yesterday! We are beyond ecstatic for its launch at the end of the month, and are even more excited to get it in the hand of the Slovene people! Thank you for joining us in prayer through each step of this process over the years! .europe
Dear friends, would you join us in praying for our home State? We have many friends and great ministry partners in Florida and though we are so far away they make it possible for our family to minister in Slovenia and we are so thankful to them and their commitment to reach Slovenia with Jesus’ message of Hope. Please pray with us for protection and safety of all those who will be impacted by this devastating storm.
It’s been two weeks now since the missions team from and we are still so grateful for their immense help and sacrifice to make our church look and feel so fresh and updated! Today was the first Sunday with the completed stage, and it’s really the finishing touch.
Today was the Day of the Church, the Slovenian Pentecostal Movement’s Annual National Conference. We had over 400 people, and it was a truly anointed time. It is always so nice to see our friends from all of the different churches, to lament at how quickly all of our kids are growing, and to share what God is doing all over Slovenia. Dan was able to give an introduction to the Slovenian FireBible, which will be translated here to Sveto pismo +, which will be coming out soon, and we were thrilled to be able to offer a pop-up Rajalnica to families with little ones. There was a time for concentrated prayer for one another, our pastors, as well as our nation. Thank you for continuing to pray for Slovenia, and the Pentecostal churches here!
Welcome to church! ⛪️
It was so lovely to worship in our newly renovated space yesterday, with the missions team from Chapelhill. The walls and ceiling all look so crisp, the stage (built by two local Slovene carpenters) is so nice and functional, the technology upgrades are so helpful - everything just looks more open and bright!
Thank you, for your love and care for our community and church family. We are beyond grateful!

Yesterday was the team from Chapelhill’s last work day! We took some time in the morning to pray for Slovenia, our city, Ptuj, the local church, and all of its ministries. Afterward, we put the finishing touches on the renovations, and cleaned every surface, so it would be ready for church today. The team got so much done, it all looks so crisp and beautiful! They’ve blessed the church so much! Stay tuned for pictures from service on Sunday!
We enjoyed a bon fire with the team yesterday, after another busy and full day! We’re working hard to get it all finished for service tomorrow morning!
Wow, wow, wow! So much work is being done!! We can’t express how grateful we are!
They’re here! The missions team from Chapel Hill arrived late on Tuesday, and hit the ground running on Wednesday. We were so blessed by a family in our church, the Križanec family, who graciously hosted us all for dinner last night at their beautiful home, after the team’s first day of work! We all had a lovely evening, ate delicious food (bograč and štrudel), shared many laughs, and frolicked through their incredible garden. We’re fueled and ready for day 2!
Demo day a couple days ago with guys from the church in Ptuj! Sanding, painting and more coming soon…
Today, Dan was so pleased to preach at our local church here in Ptuj about being unoffendable as Christians, letting go of anger, and having an attitude of forgiveness. If you look closely, you can see some patches in the wall - that is because we actually have a team coming from the States this week to help us with renovations at the church, including a full paint job! Please be praying for everything to go according to plan, traveling safety for the team, and for our church family to really be blessed by it!
Our kids, along with all the other kids in Slovenia started school this week! Please pray for the students, teachers, administrators, parents, and everyone else involved. Also, please pray for our kids, being in school in their second language all day can be exhausting, as well as an extra challenge. Please pray for patient and understanding teachers, good friends, peace in their hearts, and safety. Thank you! ♥️
Today we celebrate 7 years in Slovenia! 🇸🇮 ♥️ Thank you so much to everyone who makes our lives and ministry here possible! We are grateful for you all!
Yesterday we joined some of our neighbors, who on August 15th, Mary’s Ascension Day, hoist up a klopotec to scare away birds from the grape vines in the village park. During the party, we/they played with the co****le set that we gifted them for the first time, and our city’s mayor (the lady in the sunglasses) played the first round with us. We had a great evening, love spending time with our neighbors and learning about their customs.
Over two years ago our family and ministry was tremendously blessed by the arrival of Tyler and Audrey Wiese. We are so grateful that they answered God’s call on their lives for this season, and we are honored to have had them work alongside us. Today is a big day of transition for them, as they have completed their term here, and make their way back to the States for their next adventure. But don’t worry, they are leaving with the very best Slovenian souvenir - the sweetest little bundle of love (whom we may miss the most)! Please pray for them as they are traveling and settling into their new normal, as well as for us and our kids who will miss them, and as we adjust our ministries without them. Our lives are forever enriched by knowing them!
Team day, best day! Thank you for praying for our missionary kids!
