This was a truly sad day in history.

April 5 is yet another "day that will live in infamy." On this date in 1933, Franklin Roosevelt signed Executive Order 6102, which criminalized the possession of monetary gold. Americans were ordered to hand over their gold coin and bullion to the government in less than a month (by May 1) under penalty of $10,000 fine and/or up to 10 years in prison, so that the government could more easily inflate the money supply. It effectively repealed the 40% "gold cover" required of Federal Reserve notes by law because if you couldn't legally own gold, you couldn't legally redeem your paper Federal Reserve notes in it. Within a year, the U.S. government flipped from prohibiting alcohol and permitting gold ownership to permitting alcohol (with the repeal of Prohibition) and banning gold ownership. They stole our gold but let us keep our booze. Hooray for the "New Deal."

On the Supreme court decision of New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen

Ron Paul stated “While I oppose most gun control proposals there is one group of Americans I do believe should be disarmed: Federal agents.”

Ron Paul’s quote is probably the most truest form of why we have a 2nd amendment. Over centuries of human civilization the weak or unarmed have been attacked and subjugated by governments. Our own Constitutional Republic was created by this natural right of the citizenry to BEAR arms FREE of GOVERNMENTAL PERMISSIONS. Our Founding Fathers fought a war against a tyrannical government who abused its citizens. Here in Massachusetts we had General Thomas Gage who tried to block and take control of the powder and block it from the MINUTE MEN (aka the citizens of Massachusetts). What would we be today if he had succeeded… we would have been celebrating the PLATINUM JUBILEE a few weeks ago for the Queen.

Today’s decisions by the Supreme Court in NY State Rifle & Pistol Association V Bruen is a FAIR but ultimately weak decision. Thomas wrote a great opinion, but it all comes down with Kavanaugh. He soured the opinion in his concurrent opinion. Kavanaugh allowed to stand the licensing status of 43 states. His legal reasoning was pure hogwash. To allow a STATE to sell you back a right is arguably an infringement of said rights. It’s poorly thought out. CAN STATES NOW CHARGE FOR YOUR RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT? His legal reasoning allows this to be OKAY.

HARPER V VIRGINIA STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION: “a state violates the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution whenever it makes the affluence of the voter or payment of any fee an electoral standard. Voter qualifications have no relation to wealth.”

It’s a clear violation to charge a tax or fee to exercise a right, as rights cannot be sold or purchased.

From the Codex Regius was an Icelandic poem the HAVAMAL in Stanza 38: “Let a man never stir on his road a step without his weapons of war; for unsure is the knowing when need shall arise of a spear on the way without.”

Stanza 38 clearly speaks of self defense, the Vikings knew we live in a dangerous world. We like to think we have become more civilized, but we haven’t. We place blinders on and travel our paths oblivious to the fact that true freedom may not be always safe. That is why we have the right of self-defense. This right is yours to exercise or choose not to. In the recent history we have watched the State use violence against citizens at RUBY RIDGE, WACO, countless police shootings of FAMILY DOGS, and UNARMED CITIZENS. The Right to self defense is a right to protect yourself or to remain a Pacifist, to stand up and fight back against TYRANNY or an intruder. It is a right to protect your property, and the most important property you own is yourself.

While today we stepped a little closer to ending government abuse of our rights with this SUPREME COURT DECISION it also shows us how much we have lost and how much higher this mountain is in the fight for LIBERTY!
