A first and wonderfully exiting recital by Frank Peter Zimmermann and Dmytro Choni in Kempen Kempen Klassik last night. Very happy! 😊😊😊

I'm delighted that Josef Špaček will be artist-in-residence of the Residentie Orkest in 2023/24, playing concertos of Dvořák, Beethoven en Berg with conductors Anja Bihlmaier and Jun Maerkl. 😀😀😀

Artist in residence - Residentie Orkest Met zijn veelzijdigheid, virtuositeit en schoonheid van toon is topviolist Josef Špaček een van de ontdekkingen van deze eeuw. Dit seizoen is hij onze artist in residence. Zijn concerten met de mooiste vioolconcerten uit de afgelopen eeuwen zijn absolute hoogtepunten die je niet mag missen.

Josef Špaček replaces Nikolaj Znaider this week, and makes his debut with the Berner Symphonie-Orchester Bühnen Bern and Joana Mallwitz performing Beethoven's violin concerto. Concerts on 9 and 10 March.

I'm very excited that Josef Špaček will be making his Chicago Symphony Orchestra debut in March 2024, with Jakub Hrůša Conductor, performing Martinů's violin concerto no. 1, which was premiered in October 1973 by the same orchestra, with Josef Suk on the violin and Sir Georg Solti conducting.
