It was the best 6 weeks of truly unplugging and spending time with our newest, Austin, and my husband while he was also on paternity leave. Lucky for us, our toddlers Chase and Ella were still in school so we could keep our sanity!

Combine all the ingredients in a shaker and whip, shaking with a few pieces of crushed ice, just until incorporated. Dump into a Collins glass and add crushed ice until the glass is about four-fifths full. Swizzle for a few records, then pack the glass with ice, mounding it above the rim. Garnish with the mint and sage bouquet, and finish with a dusting of confectioner's sugar. Serve with a straw.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

My cousin texted my husband, Jake about a month ago asked him to be an accountability partner for reading a book and following through with what the book talks about. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I was impressed when Jake read the whole book in 3 sittings but more impressed that he’s now on week 3 of waking up at 5am and having a full morning before I even press snooze on my alarm clock. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

You bet, now that book is on my nightstand. I am reading it much slower than Jake but determined to finish it by next week... it’s really not a long book but hey, slow reader here. 🙋🏻‍♀️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The premise: Wake up an hour early each day to transform every area of your life by practicing 6 habits under the acronym SAVERS: Silence (meditation), Affirmations, Visualizations, Exercise, Reading, Scribing (write). Sounds like a lot but packaged into a habitual morning routine with so much time allotted to each thing sets you up for a much better and productive day. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I’ll be honest, I’ve been resistant to finish the book for knowing that I’ll *have* to start waking up earlier, which is the most daunting thing especially at 37 weeks pregnant and exhausted. But I feel like if I’m going to master this thing there’s no time like now because my hubby’s on board and we can keep each other accountable.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
