So this was our view today at the Market at 12 Ridges Vineyard It was at least 10 degrees cooler than in Harrisonburg, and people sipped cool, refreshing wine while they shopped from some extremely talented vendors! We are doing it again tomorrow so come on out! 12-5.

Trying new things and experimenting with new techniques is essential to keeping my artwork fresh and exciting. Sometimes, it's a big fail, and other times, something magical happens. It all takes time and lots of creative energy. Consider this when trying to understand the price of a piece of artwork. It's not only the time it took to make the piece but also the time to learn the techniques to create a particular design or convey a certain feeling or idea. Thanks for listening!🌼

The 2024 Public Art Forward funding cycle has been reopened!
Part of ACV’s Advancing the Arts grant program, Public Art Forward provides up to $15,000 for a new work of sculpture to be installed within the City of Harrisonburg’s Arts & Cultural District this year.
NEW APPLICATION DEADLINE: June 2, 2024 (by 5pm) with the selected project to be completed by January 31, 2025.
Attend a free online grant information session on Wednesday, April 24 @ 4pm!

After funding a mural in 2023, this year’s Public Art Forward grant expressed a preference for sculpture; however, as ACV received no sculpture project proposals, we’ve decided to reopen this grant cycle to allow another opportunity for area artists to share their visions for 3D artworks.
Finding sites for three-dimensional works may be a bit more challenging than locating appropriate walls for mural placement; we are asking downtown Harrisonburg property owners to contact us if they might be interested in exploring the possibility of adding an outdoor work of sculpture. Property owners may email [email protected] or call 540.801.8779 for more information.
