In Hindu, Buddhist and Egyptian religions, the lotus is considered a sacred flower and metaphor for spiritual enlightment.

Because the lotus rises from unclean mud water and search for the sun light to blossom as a pure, uncontaminated flower and it is a symbol of purity.

In the same way the lotus flower goes through much in its growth before emerging from dirty water to become a beautiful flower, the individual consciousness does the same on its path to enlightenment. From darkness to light. From not knowing to knowing. From ignorance to knowledge.

The thousand-petaled lotus signifies spiritual illumination. In this case, each opening of the petal (each of oir life experiences) is the gradual unfolding of our consciousness.

Exercise is Exercise, Yoga is Yoga. They are two different things.
I have been going to the gym for over 16 years and worked in gyms for many years before Yoga life. It's no surprise that when I went to the Yoga world, I loved the power, the sweat, the intensity and it gave me lots of benefits back then.
Now that I am a little bit more knowledgeable about Yoga/ energetics and I understand the impact of Prana Vayus. It becomes necessary to separate Workout to work IN. Yoga is Yoga, Exercise is exercise and they should be practiced separated if we want to progress in our levels.
Last year I decided to separate Yoga from sweating and shaping the body. I do that at the gym. What most people don't know (and I did not know too) is that our Yoga practice impacts largely on our nerve system. If we are already always rushing, pushing and burning out - guess What? The nerve system will have a hard time slowing down, resting (then insomnia), calming (then anxiety), quieting (then fidgeting and agitation).. If your Yoga is making you exhausted, if your Yoga agitates you in the room, if your Yoga is not helping you to sit still. I would consider to re-think the style of Yoga you are practicing β€
Gym for workout, Yoga for the work IN. The more you are running HOT, the more should be the countering that by doing COOLING down practices.

My practice is my priority, it doesn't matter what is happening at the world around me, but to work on my internal peace is necessary so when life is not so fun I still have the ability to remain steady.

I find that the Spiritual journey is to unlearn all the fear, hate, resentment and life conditioning that acts like a 'filter' stopping us from seeing the truth, love, inner power and trust. Before some of our life experiences (like when we were kids) our hearts were pure of joy, inspiration and dreams. At what point did we stop? At what point did we chose that we would rather be safe than living a fullfiled life?
It is worth saying, that to burn through our own Karma its not all rainbows and butterflies. If you chose the Spiritual path it won't be smooth. It actually hurts. But nothing dulls life more than to simply accept suffering. Self knowledge is the path, and meditation is the medicine to rewind the mind from patterns of thinking.
It calms my heart and gives me hope to know that all the contentment that I look for in life already exist inside me, since I was a little kid. The path is to train the mind so it can pass beyond it's self limitation.π

Exactly 3 years ago I was doing a yoga teacher training here in Bali.
Now Im doing the same thing again, but completely different approach/mind set... what I know is that we can't stop growing, if happens that we stop, we get bored and dull on the inside.
To grow is often times to face those 'edgy bits' of us, those parts of us that feel uncomfortable to deal with, to be ready and understand that resistance towards new paths is very normal, so we dont give up on the first (or 10 times) trial and to have the stability, strenght and capacity to integrate ourselves with the new journey and discoveries. If we want to see the sparkle of life and shine through, Face what is stopping you! Boom!
Both Practice and Non-reaction are required to still the fluctuations of the Mind.

I have made a decision. I no longer look for the approval. I decided to do what feels right for me and what I truly believe - since then, I have felt a huge connection to the people that comes to my Yoga classes, to the point that I find it incredibly hard to say good bye. This is the time that I am the most in love with teaching Yoga. There isn't a day that I feel bored as every class teach me something new. The universe have an interesting way to show up in our lives. Make a decision and see it happen π

Break work is my absolute favorite subject in the entire Yoga Science! Well in fact, there is no Yoga without breath π€
The next 4 weeks my classes will have a very specific breath work designed to access more Depth in our daily Yoga Practice π join me in this journey!

Hello Yogis β€ I am back in NZ! And as some of you already know, I am moving to Bali soon, I got an opportunity to study and work with traditional Hatha Yoga. When the Moon is made steady, the Sun can be made to rise. In tradition Yoga, Moon is the mind and it's fact that happiness and contentment are the result of the way we think and perceive life. The tradition Yoga believes that we all have vitality, love, light, joy (qualities of the Sun) inside our hearts. But when the mind is confused, dispersed, agitated, insecure, then we cannot access all the existent inner beauty inside the heart.... Meditation is the key to stabilize the mind and clear out the cloudiness π« When the mind is made calm, the all world inside and outside us is open to infinity possibilities π
My Yoga practice has mature. I know it always does anyway. However this year is big for me.
I cannot hang out on the first chapter of yoga anymore. Well, in some way I never have. You know, I'm not a casual person. The difference is that I am learning the tools now and it feels powerful, it feels right.
My practice is not the same as last year and as consequence also I am teaching differently.
Some might not understand my path, it's ok. I'm learning that too.
With transformations, often times there is pain. No its not easy to let go of what you think you are, to embrace what you are becoming. In fact, takes so much will power. I struggle at the times...
But if feels right, l am excited!! It's a new chapter ahead....
In case you forgot - You are pure radiant light β€ infinite luminous light. You are the source of creation, the essence of eternal source of life. Your presence is important, you are beautiful x
