MundusMedia is a global network of freelance journalists. It makes extensive use of social networks and was set up with the goal of developing an alternative to traditional news wire services. ers' strength is to produce in-depth features and reports for every medium and from every country. MundusMedia is more than a network - it is a community. Our members come from more than 50 countries around the world but they all share the curiousity about foreign cultures and a passion for quality journalism in all its diversity. MundusMedia provides freelance journalists with a network that offers them contacts, distribution opportunities, ideas and professional help on a global scale. On the other hand, we offer social media content curation and verification services on a global scale. Furthermore we provide outlets with high-quality content and authentic productions in addition to press agency material and foreign correspondent offices. While the world grows together and goes through an age of rapid and radical change, journalism does little to make sense of our time. Foreign reporting and in-depth features were among the first casualties of cost-cutting in many outlets. While we know media companies foremost have to make profits, we do not think that means we have to waive quality journalism. We see huge potential in identifying outstanding examples of journalism worldwide and distribute, contextualize and adapt them on a global scale as well as helping each and every member to do the same thing. Therefore we can offer premium journalism with a reasonable pricing. Thus, we guarantee that freelance journalists can continue their good work. We see the need to redefine journalism.
