Good morning PCSD Community!!
When the 2024-2025 school year begins, we will have a new addition to the PCSD family!! Meet “Radar”! She is the district’s first K-9 officer and newest member of the Safety & Security team!
Safety Officer Travis Kirkland will soon start training with “Radar” to make sure she is ready to report to work in the fall!
Executive Director of Safety and Security Mike Ruple says the team is excited to welcome “Radar” because she will add a new safety enhancement to the department. He says, “A well trained K-9 in schools not only enhances security but also fosters a sense of safety and reassurance among students and staff as part of our layered safety and security initiatives.”
We can’t wait to officially welcome “Radar” to the Paulding County School District!

We are proud of Instructional Technology Coaches Ashley Yergin, Suzy Lolley and Jim Long for completing the certification program by attending a two-day cohort, taking six months to build a portfolio of their coaching practice and then submitting their work for evaluation by Microsoft program leaders.
They are now able to work with data and provide resources to teachers while making effective use of Microsoft Education tools.
