Little Makes
Artisan-made handbag, wallets & accessories. 🖐 Crafted in NZ . Little things make a big difference. So when deciding on a name this felt perfect.
I am a busy Mum with ME/CFS so this is something I do as a hobby when time and health permits, I love making pretty things for my Daughter and whanau, and I struggle with anxiety & found sewing a wonderful thing to do for my mental health . I started with clothes, then our daughter needed a school bag, I was hooked I loved learning the new skills it takes to make them and wanted to keep going keep
Pet post- This is Sarge. Sarge doesn’t realise he’s big 🤣. He’s also discovered he can sit on the back of the lazy boy to watch the Birds.
He’s the reason we can’t have nice things 🤣🤣🤣
OMG it Friday tomorrow seriously where did the week go! What a busy wee week it has been as well. All unfortunately non sewing related. Might see if I can sew something after work tomorrow and finish off on Saturday then I will be at the Putaruru Street Market Sunday morning hopefully not freezing my butt off lol.
Then the following weekend after that (Sunday 28th July) is my normal hang out Tirau Markets.
Not sure how much I will be able to get done between now and then as Miss 13 also needs more clothes and I have one customer order to do as well. Speaking of Custom orders. If you have been thinking of getting something for yourself or someone in your life now is the time people. As very soon I will be busy sewing up a storm for the silly season.
Stay well, be kind to yourself and others and most of all do something that makes you happy...
xoxo Jenni. (Little Makes Maker)

Whew that feels better I finally felt well enough to get into some sewing.
So this year I joined a sewing facebook group where they challenge you to sew at least one pattern that you have in your stash but not made, each month.
This month I need to do two as I missed Aprils. First up is this stunning little crossbody. Pattern is The Aires by Knotted Thread. It’s a very clever design. She’s a small bag (about the size of a A5
but with many compartments that surprisingly hold a lot.
