About my journey becoming The Colorful Crafter
I started crocheting nearly 10 years ago. I’ve always enjoyed variety of crafting projects. In 2019 I decided to take a leap of faith and registered my business. The new VA hospital has kiosks that you can set up ‘your store’ for a week at a time. So I decided to leap again and set up for a week in January 2020. It was a success and met wonderful fellow veterans.. So I scheduled 2 more weeks for March as I was preparing and adding new items...Corona Virus, everything shut down a week before my scheduled time. So I decided to focus on my Etsy store and started painting with alcohol inks. Despite the chaos in the world, I designed Colorado flag ear savers and gave them to some health care workers and others wanted to buy them. I had so many orders I had to recruit family to help me catch up on orders. That really helped me feel useful since I have severe underlying health problems. I started painting with alcohol ink and the fluidity and bold colors helped me escape the devastation happening. This has allowed my creativity to flourish and open so many new doors. Thank you for visiting my page and my Esty store.
