Knot So Forgotten Wood
Each of my scenes can be bought on line through e-transfer. Will ship through the mail. Each piece has my mind spinning with ideas.
I started building little scenescapes after I was inspired by an artist on line. Positive responses on my personal Facebook turned into 'Knot so Forgotten wood'. I chose this name because my favorite thing to do is hop into the car with my husband for the day and go on the hunt for 'forgotten wood'. I get most excited when I find old colored chipped wood , (they really make the best houses). My ar

This piece mounts on a wall and can easily be made into a key holder.
I picked a pumpkin from the patch
A pumpkin orange and round.
It was the best one on the farm,
The largest to be found.
I rolled the pumpkin to my house,
And carved it right away,
I filled it up with candlelight,
And put it on display.
The pumpkin jack o lantern,
Was as festive as could be,
I kept it out all autumn long,
for everyone to see.

New scenes heading to the Art Gallery this Saturday.
Christmas orders are coming in. Thank you!
Planting for fall colour is equally important to me as spring and summer colours! I realize this tree grows massive in size but how could I turn away this colour?
Fall is approaching
My Story
As far back as I can remember, all I ever wanted for Christmas was art supplies starting with colouring books and a fresh box of unbroken crayons😍. As I got older I got charcoal and drawing books, macrame kits, wood burning....and on it goes. I feel a need to create a little something every day, whether it be a drawing, sewing or garden art. I love a homespun Christmas best and have made many homemade ornaments. My happy place is in the thick of nature, walking in old neighbourhoods, enjoying the character houses and the over grown massive trees that umbrella the neighbourhood and find inspiration from their front yard gardens! 🤪.I started building little scenescapes (with a little help from my husband) after I was inspired by an artist on line. Positive responses after posting my scenes on my personal Facebook turned into 'Knot so Forgotten wood'. I have found the best time to go out looking for wood is during or after a really strong storm as the ocean crashes up some wonderful pieces of boat wreckage. My art room has taken over the laundry room. My pieces have been sold in Scout and company in Steveston, the Mapleridge Florist and Midtown Main in Vancouver. I am a registered care aid and have workEd with adults with developmental disabilities and retirement living, but have retired to look after my little granddaughter five days a week and what a very special time it is❤️
