SHOP GLOCAL
One thing a lot of people don't think about with our program is how we lift up global economies. We never ship goods. It's expensive and take forever. Instead, every month around the world, goods are bought locally through trusted leaders. This gets resources to families quicker and ensures small town economies are lifted up! Thank you for your support! www.childrenofpromise.global

Happy National Pizza Day! 🍕 Where is your favorite place to get a pizza? What makes it special?
WE MET OUR GOAL! Many thanks to the 26 churches and individuals who contributed to the first annual Christmas Missions Offering, sponsored by WCGKY and KYMinistries. Together we have raised $35,000 to go to missions! Isn't that WONDERFUL! Checks will be written this week to Global Strategy for the Langfords and Richeys and to KYMinistries for the Legacy Fund.
If you still need to submit your offerings, please mail to POBox 214, Owingsville, KY 40360. Make the check to WCGKY and write CMO in the memo. It's not too late. We can write additional checks to our missionaries and the Legacy Fund. 😉
Make plans now to attend the 2024 WCGKY State Convention April 26-27.
Happy Groundhog Day! What do you think? Was Punxsutawney Phil right? 🐿️
WCGKY Executive Board met at Four Seasons Christian Center at Camp Lyons last weekend looking carefully at our bylaws and making plans for our 2024 State Convention.
Our Executive Council meets tonight and tomorrow to continue plans for the 2024 year. Do you have any suggestions or ideas that you would like to share with the board? Drop a comment below or send us a message. We look forward to hearing from you!

This cold weather has us thinking of a beautiful fall day at Camp Lyons, or warm day at the beach... share with us a place that makes you happy!
Last week we challenged you to start 2024 reading your Bible four days a week.
"More scripture engagement also produces a Christian who is more involved in spreading the Good News. Controlling for other factors, those who read or listen to the Bible at least four days a week have higher odds of participating in these behaviors:
Sharing faith with others = 228% higher odds
Discipling others = 231% higher odds
Memorizing scripture = 407% higher odds "
This is your encouragement today. If you haven't taken time to be in God's Word, carve out time today. Get off of Facebook, turn off your TV, open your Bible, and read. Immerse yourself in God's Word and be prepared for your life to change.https://bttbfiles.com/web/docs/cbe/Scientific_Evidence_for_the_Power_of_4.pdf
We are so excited to see donations to our 2023 Christmas Missions Offering rolling in.
As a reminder, this offering should be mailed to Peggy Prater, WCGKY Treasurer, at P.O. Box 214 Owingsville, KY 40360. Along with the check, please complete the remittance form found at bit.ly/CMOResources2023
We are so excited to see the impact this offering has on missions and the Kingdom.
Research shows those who read their Bible at least 4 days a week will experience a noticeable change in their lives. Less than 4 days, no noticeable difference. Woah!
Join us in a challenge to read your Bible at least four days a week. It's as easy as this ... make the commitment, find a plan to follow, find friends to do it with you (accountability), then read to find what you can learn about God.
Here are a few challenges in which you could participate ...
1. Bible Recap -- love this one, 365 days of reading through the whole Bible in a year, chronologically. They have a YouTube channel, plan on YouVersion Bible app, and their own app. Other resources available to purchase, but you can truly follow along with them for free. What I like about this one is the focus on what we see/learn about God in scripture.
2. New Testament -- Hosted by Beulah ChoG, starts this month, reading 5 days a week through the end of June. Let us know if you want more details and where to download the resources.
3. Challenge 43 -- Hosted by Eastland ChoG, starts mid February, reading 4 days a week through Luke and Acts in 3 months. Let us know if you want more details and where to download the resources!
Will you join us??? 👍❤️
Merry Christmas! Emmanuel, God with us! The Word became flesh.
Today, and every day, we give glory and honor to our Messiah who dwelt among us. To our Savior who rescued us. To our Creator who understands and intimately knows us.
