You ever have those moments where you're just dang proud of yourself??! That was me yesterday after completing this (bigger than I thought) project! I'm not sure why I thought it would only take a couple hours to move thousands of pieces of wood TWICE 🤣 But I did it. Even if it took me 8 hours and my entire body now hurts. Apparently the traditional fifth-anniversary gift is crafted from wood. My mom gave us a cool idea to carve our initials into a tree on our property so that's exactly what we did!

This spring was dryer than normal causing easily sparked wildfires. They've been so bad this year already. They just fully contained the one in our town across the river. It's scary that at any given moment something could start and cause danger to us and our property. The ONLY good thing to come from such devastation is the pretty sunsets the smoke creates. Hope you all are staying safe here on the west coast!

Started our trip back to our property in Northern Idaho today! Can't wait to get there. 😍 This is our first time traveling since we got our new trailer so I've been holding my breath that everything goes smoothly!

So how did we decide to move into an RV and travel full time, anyhow?!

I get asked this question quite a bit so I figured I would share our story here again with you all.

My husband and I lived in Colorado for 5 years. He's a Journeyman Lineman and I was working in HR/Marketing for a local community bank. Long story short, the bank I was working for was getting bought out by a larger bank and I was most likely going to get eliminated.

With Nate's job, he can work pretty much anywhere and a lot of people in his trade travel and live in a trailer. We decided to give it a try! Why not, right?! It seemed like the perfect opportunity so we rented out our house, bought a travel trailer, and hit the road. Honestly, I expected after the first year we would move back into our house but we kind of fell in love with it. Getting to explore new places, meet new people, and do things we normally wouldn't get to do has been the best adventure yet.

Traveling also meant I needed to be able to work from anywhere. I have now been building my business on the road for 2.5 years. So there's this coffee shop I run past every day and I've been wanting to stop in for a while. Nate had the day off yesterday so he ran with me there and we enjoyed an Americano and the best Acai bowl 😍 I love supporting locally owned places like this! My flowers still look so good that my husband bought me last week. They make me smile every time I look at them. Something about fresh flowers really brightens things up. PLUS it's so nice actually having the counter space to enjoy them now 🥰

Yesterday I walked outside my door to let the dogs out and I saw this massive hot air balloon right above me. It kind of took me by surprise because that has definitely never happened before 🤣

It was such a cool thing to see though and it made my day. I sat there and watched them for a good 15 minutes until they were out of view. It's funny how little things like that can change your whole perspective. What actually started out as a crappy morning was quickly turned right-side up (or is it upside down?! 🤔🤣).

Maybe it isn't a hot air balloon for you but rather a smile from the cashier at the grocery store or a quarter on the ground. Look for the little things in life that bring you joy. We could all use it right now ❤

What's something that made you smile today?!

It's been a little over 3 months since I started consistently going to the gym 5 days a week. I've always worked out and gone to the gym but never stuck with a specific plan or goal. I've learned a lot over the last couple months and wanted to share a few things with you all....

1. Consistency is so important. Your progress isn't an overnight thing and you have to keep at it to start seeing results. Don't get discouraged!

2. Your diet IS WHAT WILL MAKE OR BREAK YOUR RESULTS. I've always eaten healthy however, my healthy and what my body needs were two different things. I was NOT consuming near enough calories or protein to fuel my body for my muscles to grow. After working with my sweet friend .ship I'm learning what works and what doesn't.

3. A piece of pizza will not make you fat the same as one salad will not make you skinny. Food has always been one of my favorite things but I've had to learn to simplify it a lot. We eat to fuel our body not our taste buds. Hard truth sometimes 🤣

4. Have fun with it! Sometimes I dread going to the gym but the days when I get to go with my husband make it a lot better! Find a gym partner to help hold you accountable!

It's been so fun and rewarding seeing the changes happening with my progress. I'm by no means an expert, I still learn something new every day! But I hope this can be your reminder to go for it. Be the best and healthiest version of yourself. You deserve it 👏✨ Don't let the gym scare or intimidate you.

We signed the papers for our new fifth wheel yesterday!! 🎉 There are a few other RVs ahead of ours before we can do our inspection and walk through so now we wait and hope our time comes sooner than later. 🤣 They said it should be a week or two.

Meanwhile we are kind of in limbo living in a half packed trailer waiting on word of when we will get it.

Opal decided she was just going to chill and relax until then. Me on the other hand, I'll be over here biting my nails and stressing 🥴😅
