In creating Bourbon Barbies our dream was to express our passion for fashion, and the arts, while contributing to society in a positive way. The growing concerns regarding textile pollution and the harm fast fashion has had on the environment had been brought to our attention. The wastefulness of the fashion industry was not appealing to us, but creating powerful edgy pieces was. We decided to tak
e a different approach, making our way in the fashion world as a sustainable company. Bourbon Barbies uses purely upcycled and recycled clothing to produce our collection. We restyle each piece making each item one of a kind. Our mission is to re-imagine each piece into something truly unique in appearance, and something you can feel great about wearing. We are striving to make the world a better place. We hope to inspire a wave of thinking through encouraging consumers to be more conscious of where they buy, and how their choices effect the world around them.

Apart from our upcycling process, our collections promise a truly unique style. We do not follow the trends-- we prefer to march to the beat of our own drum offering strong statement pieces. We consider each piece of our Bourbon Barbies collections to be art, and a form of expression. Each item has been hand styled to radiate a powerfully sexy, edgy statement. After being heavily involved in the local art and fashion scene here in South Florida, and being unable to keep up with the demand for our pieces, we came to the conclusion that we needed to expand. Today we are a global company. We are growing and loving every minute of developing new sustainable strategies to lead and represent the upcycled fashion movement.
