Slot cars are a big thing in my life. As much as a cliché as it might sound. When I was 3 to 4 y/o, my father came home with an expensive set from Estrela, a national manufacturer, featuring Emerson Fittipaldi on its cover. It had his Lotus 72 on the box! My mom made him return it. I never opened the package. I saw the big box, but I was too young to realize what I would be missing. My mother, on the other hand, knew exactly what she was trying to save me from.
