Our Story

Ma*****na.Ca is an online media company that supports the rights of patients to access safe Legal Medical Ma*****na/Cannabis in Canada for various ailments. We strive for excellence in customer service by providing daily news, resources, medical ma*****na access, doctor access, access to Canadian licensed cannabis producers and Canadian ma*****na brands, industry news/directory and job board.

Patients have a constitutional right to access Medical Ma*****na. Our goal is to raise awareness about the ma*****na issue, the medicine, and how patients can access it through the legal medical ma*****na system in Canada.

We are also working on our unique brands and product offerings. Stay tuned.

The Ma*****na.Ca team is comprised of committed and passionate individuals who believe in the importance of ma*****na as a medicine, and the liberty to consume it for adult recreational use. Having a regulated source of quality tested ma*****na so people can enjoy it responsibly – is a reflection of an enlightened society.

Currently in Canada, the only legal source of regulated ma*****na is for medical purposes through Health Canada’s ACMPR.

The liberal government has committed to introduce legislation in the spring of 2017, to legalize recreational ma*****na. Introducing legislation is the first part of the process. We speculate that legalization will formally occur sometime in 2018.

Dispensaries and compassion clubs that are operating across the country are still considered illegal under federal law. Historically, they have served an important role in improving access for medical ma*****na patients. The Task Force has recommended that retail sales of ma*****na be regulated by provinces and territories in close collaboration with municipalities. We look forward to the day where dispensaries have the regulatory guidelines to run legitimate businesses and sell safe regulated ma*****na products to their customers.

We envision a future where ma*****na is regulated for medical and recreational purposes for safe consumption. A future where the ma*****na prohibition is repealed and the associated harms, such as the fueling of the underground black market economy, adverse effects due to incarceration and the dangers associated with untested/unregulated products, are eradicated.

Our mission is to educate, to challenge, to question, to motivate, to think, and live openly.

It’s time to end the stigmatization surrounding ma*****na use, and acknowledge the rights of intelligent, creative, hardworking Canadian adults that consume ma*****na responsibly.
