Glimpses of our historic meeting on 21st Dec2019

ICS Creates History
Celebrating a festival means to live out for some special occasion and in an uncommon manner, assent to the world as a whole.
The ICS Toastmasters Club anniversary and graduation ceremony was held together on the 21st December 2019. It was a gala celebration with the essence of Christmas and new year Fiesta.
Toastmasters of the Day TM Krubha began the meeting with a positive quote. Graduation speech of Gav. Jerome was a real eye opener. The first Competent Communicator of the ICS Gavel club.
Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence. Yes, it was proved by DTM Shantha Maria in her DTM speech. She is the first DTM of ICS Toastmasters Family.
Esteemed presence of the dignitaries _ DTM Alka Kumra club growth director, DTM Fathima Abdo Division F Director, DTM Murali Manohar Division E Director added an extra flavor to the celebration.
TM Antony Noel the President of ICS Expressions fascinated the Club members with a bash. The table topics revolved around festivity. All the members participated enthusiastically.
The historic meeting ended with the enchanting Christmas carols and cutting of the cake. It was a moment of pride for ICS Toastmasters.

ICS EXPRESSIONS TOASTMASTERS CLUB REPORT
Meeting #70
Date: 7.12.19
The 70th meeting of our club was indeed a mesmerizing one. The theme chosen for the meeting was"Distance lends enchantment to the view" and the word of the day was "enchantment".
There were mind-blowing speeches in the Education session.

3.TM Amarjit Kaur _"Beyond the imagination"
Followed by an exciting Table Topic session. Table topic Master TM shebi Anvar had conducted it in an innovative manner.
There was a wonderful DTAC presentation by TM Naseema khan _ Head of Marketing Team.
The meeting ended with the distribution of awards to the role players.

Theme: Learn something new
The meeting started with a slogan ”make today the day to learn something new” lead by
TMOD TM. Asia. The presence of AD TM Srinivasan Chellapathy added an extra flavor to
the meeting.
The Club President TM Noel Anthony warmed up the toastmasters like an experienced
coach before starting of speech session.
“A genuine leader is not a searcher for consensus but a molder of consensus” – our
vibrant TM Amarjit Kaur started her speech with a famous quote of Martin Luther King.
It’s rarely seen in a person who is willing to engage in hard and solid thinking as she left
no stone unturned to explain the real aspect of leadership.
Its indeed a blessing that each one of us has a mentor by birth. Yes the Mother a
universal mentor. How influential she could be in our lives was narrated by one of most
enthusiastic TM Suchandra through her own life story, which left the audience with
feeling of honour and gratitude to the most wonderful person in their lives “the
Mother”.
It was AD TM Srinivasan Chellapathy who enlightened us with a few points our active
participation in toastmasters which promotes a steady advancement in our lives.
Reading is a conversation. All books talk but a good book listens. A nostalgic table topic
by active TM Noorie drove the members back to their childhood. All the toastmasters
actively and enthusiastically participated in the table topic session. TM Binu Jacob and
TM Krubhahari gave an extraordinary evaluation which not only benefitted their target
speakers but also the members present int the meeting.
Our General evaluator cheerful TM Shebi gave an immediate spotlight to our areas of
improvement.
It was indeed a propitious session.

2nd November 2019
Theme : lighting a candle
"When we keep claiming the light, we will find ourselves becoming more and more ."
The meeting began with the beautiful quote of our VP Education TM Moncy who believes that to be radiant you need to burn selflessly like a candle. Our Toastmaster of the day TM Noorie conducted the meeting in a unique way by asking the toastmasters to take up a resolution that they would spread the light of knowledge by being as radiant as the sun.
Our dynamic speakers TM Amarjit & TM Subha presented their views on leadership and strategies to become a good leader. They inspired the auidence with the proven tagline of Toastmasters _ " Leaders are not born; they are made".
TM Beatris brought a twist in the Table topics by encouraging the participants to light the Alaudin's magic candle and select a topic from the magical lamp.It thrilled the participants.
Positive & constructive feedback was given by the evaluators.overall it was a fun filled meeting.

ICS EXPRESSIONS TOASTMASTERS

Word of the Day : Recreation
“We do better together, not alone. We need to play together to feel alive. We need to share to
feel whole. At any age we need to recreate to feel better”.
Our toastmaster meeting also started with the same feel on a wonderful Saturday morning with
all the Toastmasters coming together.
TM Minimol as the TMOD carried the meeting in a wonderful way through enthusiastic quotes.
The two ice breaker speeches delivered by TM Shebi and TM Suja was par excellence.
“Between the earth and the sky above ,
Nothing can match a grandmother’s love”.
Our energetic speaker TM Shebi shared her thoughts about her grandmother and her
unconditional love towards her whereas TM Suja described her connectivity to Almighty in her
speech ‘Me and my Almighty’.
The morning continued with our creative Table topic Master TM Uma Kamlesh who brought
more than 50 interesting topics related to the word of the day :Recreation. Almost all the
participants, took the stage enthusiastically to try out those topics.
Followed by table-topics was the Evaluation session with the team of talented Evaluators TM
Kruba Hari and TM Subha . They evaluated the speeches in an encouraging and a positive
manner providing few suggestions for improvement.
Overall it was an enlightening and a refreshing session filled with wisdom.
The meeting concluded with the declaration of awards to the winners.

Transformation is an ongoing process that tends to appear ordinary, when, in fact, something extraordinary is taking place.
A joint meeting was conducted in ICS Toastmasters family which included ICS Expressions, ICS Explorers, ICS Pathfinders and ICS Torchbearers on 10.10.19 at Indian Central school premises. The main motto behind this joint meeting was to have two seasoned Toastmasters AD Srinivas Chellapati and DTM Alifiya Lakadwala with us. Both the dynamic leaders conducted an informative workshop on Impromptu speaking and EffectiveEvaluation. It was an inspiring session. All the members especially the gavels were immensely benefitted. Both the versatile speakers highlighted how to overcome the small flaws and perform confidently with ease while at any contests.
A genuine passion for public speaking was in the air. Our brilliant TMOD Priya Anil conducted the meeting in her own charming style. Roles of General evaluator, Ah Counter, Timer roles were taken up by TM Suchandra Banerjee, TM Mercy James and Gav. Thameem respectively. All together it was an edifying session. We look forward to have more of such experiences.

There was a great turn out for this Saturday 21st ICS Expression Toastmaster’s club meeting.
Our understanding is correlative to our perception that’s why our evergreen cheerful TMOD TM Shuba brought bunch of short stories while convening the meeting.
Positive emotion is a yardstick. Our dynamic TM Noorie emphasized on developing positive attitude in the society.
What is leadership? A well-organized case study and innovative speech delivered by vibrant TM Suchandra enlightened our mind on leadership.
Humor is one of the best ways to make our message memorable. This was proven by our ever jovial and entertaining TM Srinivasan Raju.
Our enchanting Table Topic Master TM Shalini was able to tickle on the emotional nerves of the members present there which was followed by our reliable and versatile evaluators TM Amarjit, TM Kripa and TM Shebi who not only assessed their positive qualities but also emphasized their areas of improvement.
Our General evaluator enthusiastic TM Moncy raised and highlighted certain areas of improvement.
Its was an edifying session .
