Congratulations Shacoria ❤️👌🏾

Today’s is on Shacoria Scott (Political Science ’24). While at , Shacoria was an orientation leader and a member of the Dalton and Linda Floyd Family Mentoring Program, Order of Omega, the Teal Trailblazers, and Sigma Xi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. “Being in these organizations highlighted my experience at Coastal Carolina University. Coming into college, I was a very introverted student who had social issues when it came to communicating with others outside of my household. These organizations helped to pull me out of my comfort zone and force me to have those uncomfortable conversations to grow as an individual.”

Shacoria is preparing for her Law School Admission Test and is excited to continue her education at North Carolina Central University’s School of Law, with the goal of becoming a criminal defense attorney. She credits her program and faculty members for helping to prepare her for this exciting next step.

“I really loved the Political Science program and especially Dr. Min Ye; he made sure that I walked out of his office hours with some type of progress and understood that I needed those one-on-one conferences to understand the material much better. He pushed me to be the best student I could be and to think outside of the box. I cannot thank him enough for not giving up on me, as I am now able to use that research paper as an entry into law school.”

Outside of her studies, Shacoria enjoys listening to music, trying new recipes, spending time with her family and best friend, A'Ja, and traveling.

Sue Cleveland Welcomes: Ehren Williams
Ehren States: Hi Big Sue! I'm Ehren Williams and I am super excited to continue my teaching experience with my first year in elementary. With four years of experience in 6th Grade Social Studies, I thrive on creating an engaging and supportive classroom environment where students can truly excel and feel supported.
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Coastal Carolina University in prime pandemia in the Spring of 2020. Currently, I am pursuing my Master's of Education in School Administration from Furman University on schedule to graduate next spring.
Whether it's incorporating technology or real-life examples, I'm always looking for ways to make learning relevant and enjoyable for not just the students, but for me as well. One of the best parts of teaching for me is building connections with my students. I believe in fostering not just academic growth, but also critical thinking and problem-solving skills that will serve them well beyond the classroom.
I have two mischievous cats, Qui and Mimi and I love to focus on my health by exercising and going on casual walks. In my free time, I love reading, spending time with my family, and trying out new foods. Also, if you are a bravo-holic we will have tons to talk about.
I'm excited about the opportunity to bring my passion and experience to Sue Cleveland Elementary. I'm confident that my commitment to student success and collaborative mindset would make me a valuable addition to the team.

CCU releases new details about its proposed community-focused Convocation Center During Coastal Carolina University’s recent announcement of Chance Miller as the new vice president for intercollegiate athletics and University recreation, mention was made of a proposed Convocation Center to be located on the corner of Hwy. 501 and University Boulevard.
