“Decompression” oil on 6”x6” aluminum panel. When we had a house I would love taking a pot of tea and a fancy cup and sit out by the pool. I didn’t paint them in but there’s dogs under the table. Always close. This time alone I could decompress from any stresses that were surrounding me. Do you have a decompression ritual?

Slow process. Paying more attention to our youngest Lab after loosing our older one last week. When she sleeps I paint. Tomorrow I hope to finish. Love working on the aluminim.

Day 2 ( missed 1) of the 2024 . Not accustomed lately of painting live, I think after 30 days I should see an improvement!

I really love this little gem and have more references from the Lake that I’ll be doing.

“Lake Harmony” truly. A limited palette plus white. I can feel that gentle breeze and hear the birds chatting away.

This is placed in an Altoid tin and is also the palette. It’s a conversation starter and a unique display item. Each tin comes with a small piece of balsa glued on the back so the tin stays open and arrives in a colorful cloth bag.

Nursing a pulled muscle in my back, I’ve gone back to my Altoid oil paintings. This one is in progress using a limited palette plus white.
We would stop in Georgia at a great Rv park on a lake, staying there 7-14 days at times. My Lola, Newfie, loved it. The only time she’d go in water.

I should finish this tomorrow then do a commission and more fun Altoid paintings.

Omicron COVID is so not fun. Today was the first day in over a week I sat in front of my easel. I’ll say it was mild and thankful for my vacs, but I’m drained. Hoping to be back up and at’ ‘‘em soon.
