Closest we got the playing Tramlines was that year they had a bus. Was fun trying to finger chords going round a roundabout, we tells you! Anyway, Simon and James will be doing it properly this year with The Farewell State and in actual venues. The only movement will be that induced by alcohol. Make sure you go!

Joy Again announce split and details of debut album Philadelphia band Joy Again have announced their breakup and their debut album 'Song And Dance', due June 28.

It's 7 years since we were last alive. Unlikely to happen again BUT our legacy lives on in The Farewell State so you'd best follow them! They were also there at the scene of our resurrection and have an album out this year...DO IT.

2023 was another year without our album unleashed (12 and counting now!) BUT there is good reason for that. We have been mostly mixing 'Dial Everything' to make it the best it can be and something that the whole band agree on as being a fantastic piece of work.

So to tide you all over into 2024, we announce our first single will be the electric protest song 'Year Zero'. The release date and video will be forthcoming in the next few months. The album will follow by late Spring.

So here we are, ending 2023 with a gig at The Forum in Sheffield. It's been a busy year as we finally finished our debut album 'Dial Everything' after 12 years of ups and downs but 2024 is when the real hard work starts with lead single 'Year Zero' out in the Spring, closely followed by the magnum opus so come along on December 14th for a preview of the tunes along with a raft of other talent! 8pm and free entry, let's close this off in style...

One more gig for our descendants this year as the clock ticks down to 2024 and FINALLY seeing an album...

Raise a glass to local legend Martin Bedford tonight. Martin was a huge personality on the Sheffield scene, tirelessly promoting live gigs by unsigned acts including our favourites Chicken Legs Weaver in the early 00s. Sadly he now joins CLW leader Andy in the great beyond so it's only fitting we pick this tune sung by him from the glory days. Rest in power Martin x

Our co-writer in chief Simon returns to the stage this Sunday after a long health-related absence for Make Noise Studios Tramlines event 'Off The Tracks'. Free entry and JunkBond (Simon's solo alter-ego) ride again at 2pm!

This Sunday I'll be making my return to the stage after the wheels came off all live shows last year via a trip to hospital and subsequent recovery. Got some new songs, got some old favourites but mostly just glad to get back out there and play for you! To do so as part of Make Noise Studios Tramlines event is an extra honour so please head on down to Trinity Street in Sheffield this weekend. I'm on at 2pm but there's loads of great artists playing
