Our Story

Hinkle Farms provides delicious, healthy, 100% grassfed beef from farm to consumer. Our cattle are fed only pasture grasses and hay (during winter months) to produce the most healthy cattle, which in turn provide the most healthy beef. In addition to local delivery in the areas around our farm, you can also purchase our great-tasting beef through the Evansville, IN MarketWagon.

Our cattle are raised ethically and graze on pasture land that has been owned by our family for three generations. You’re more than welcome to stop by and visit if you want to know the farmers that are raising your food and see the land that the animals graze. It’s nothing fancy, just like it was done for thousands of years before big business invented the CAFO.

Did you know that some of the beef that is marketed as “grassfed” is raised in feedlots? Cattle are fed pelletized grass in CAFOs so that they can get the premium prices that consumers pay for grassfed beef. The further away from us our food is produced, the easier it is for them to sell us something that it really isn’t.
