We always like to stick a fun cover into the mix and this one is definitely a great one to play. Stayin Alive by the Bee Gees filmed a couple weeks ago at the Corporation in Sheffield.

Gig coming up next Saturday for a super wonderful cause at the Corporation in Sheffield. The charity is Rain Rescue, a shelter for rescued cats and dogs and it would be so good to get a sellout crowd for our little furry lovelies. Lots of bands for very little money too so there’s no excuse not to treat yourselves.

We’ve got old friend Mr Rob Barton from The Human League coming in and playing drums for us along with all round lovely person Spencer from the mighty Thor coming onboard to play the keys. Had an absolutely cracking rehearsal today and it’s sounding quite special it really is.

We’ll be on around 3.30 and it would be so great to see some fabulous familiar faces down there to help those little furry loveballs. Tickets available on the link.

We’ll be hitting the stage at this lovely venue on the 30th July. Playing a 90 min set so we may need to get our act together in order to fulfil our obligations. Perhaps my wish to play an entire set of Musical Youth covers will finally come to fruition. If someone called Dennis could please turn up and pinch some Apple pie my life would be complete. Either way it’s sure to be a pleasant day/evening. If you like Beer/Bands & Barbecues then it’s definitely your type of thing.

Good day people of Facebook, this post takes the form of 2 parts,

Part 1 - We have a new drummer, Mr Micheal Breeze who has quite literally blown into the role from out of nowhere. He’s a wonderful presence, a great human and above all a superb drummer. He knows that he has big shoes to fill, Chris was very special in many ways but we know Michael is definitely up to the task.

Part 2- Keyboard player wanted. As a band we can get away playing half our set as a 3 piece but keys are so integral to our recorded sound we really do feel a full time keyboard player is needed. Own transport and availability for 3-4 gigs a month is a must. Backing vocals would be a massive bonus too.

Hi everyone. We hope you are all keeping well and taking good care of yourselves, we’ve been a little quiet over the last 3-4 months as we catch up on other life stuff. Eddie has been busy moving home, Mark’s been busy talking to his bees and Chris has…..wait for it……decided to hang his sticks up and concentrate on mastering Tchaikovsky’s Concerto no.1 on his shiny new piano. We support Chris’s decision and remain best buddies as always, he’s one of life’s good guys. It’s going to be a little strange without him as he’s always played such an integral part.

With his support we’ve decided to look for a suitable replacement. We have quite a few gigs booked in over the summer and a superb new rehearsal room complete with a shiny new kettle. We’ve also got 6-8 new songs ready to record and they are pretty pretty pretty good….

Anyway if any of our musician friends know of any drummers who can keep a steady beat, like a giggle and have an overall sunny disposition please ask them to get in touch. There’s a finders fee of fondant fancies on offer, an FFFF so to speak. Terms and conditions apply 😊
