In the Catchment, we were up to 117 days without a shooting, until an incident in earlier this week. Despite the challenges, our team of Outreach Workers, Violence Interrupters, and Hospital Responders continues to diligently work on the ground, striving to make Brooklyn safer for all our community members, students, residents, friends, neighbors & loved ones. Here’s a recap!
🎓We’ve been hosting real talks at local schools including and diving into discussions about community safety and the impact of gun violence.
🚨Our ‘Know Your Rights’ workshop was a full house! We covered everything from I-Cards and the NYPD Gang Database to navigating police interactions and what to do if your rights are violated.
