37.2mm in 1 hour to 2:39pm at Ravenscliffe.
41mm in 1 hour to 3:24pm at Boyanup North.

West to southwesterly DAMAGING WIND GUSTS up to 90 km/h still remain possible about the coastal fringe east of Augusta in the South West and South Coastal districts, with conditions likely to ease this evening.
Severe weather is no longer occurring in the Lower West district and the warning for this district is CANCELLED.

The Department of Communities has set up an evacuation centre at the South West Sports Centre, 1 Rotary Ave in Withers.
Please take any essential items such as medications and identification to the evacuation centre.
Pets (except recognised assistance animals) are not allowed inside evacuation centres for health and safety reasons, so you should make alternative arrangements for them.
Those attending the evacuation centre should exercise extreme caution when travelling in the wider Bunbury area due to multiple hazards including downed powerlines, trees and other debris.
A number of roads, including Forrest Highway, have been impacted by debris.

At 7.07 am on 2 June 2024 the Bureau of Meteorology advised the cold front which brought severe weather to parts of the southwest overnight has weakened as it moves inland, easing severe conditions across much of northern and inland parts of the South West Land Division.
Gusty west to southwesterly winds are expected to continue about the coastal strip from about Mandurah to Albany today, persisting the damaging wind gust risk until later this evening.
West to southwesterly DAMAGING WIND GUSTS up to 90 km/h still remain possible about the coastal fringe south of Mandurah in the Lower West and in the South West and South Coastal districts.
Conditions are likely to ease north of Margaret river by late this afternoon, then easing further along the southern coast later this evening.
Heavy rainfall and the threat of destructive wind gusts has now eased across the southwest.

HEAVY RAINFALL which may lead to FLASH FLOODING is likely across the South West district from early this evening, spreading to the Lower West and Central West districts by late this evening or early Sunday morning. Six-hourly rainfall totals between 45 to 65 mm are likely. HEAVY RAINFALL is expected to ease by mid-morning on Sunday.
Locally INTENSE RAINFALL which may lead to DANGEROUS AND LIFE-THREATENING FLASH FLOODING is also possible over parts of the South West, Lower West and Central West districts. If you live in Lower West, South West and parts of Central West districts you need to get ready now for the severe weather coming tomorrow afternoon.
Locations which may be affected include Bunbury, Busselton, Geraldton, Kalbarri, Mandurah, Manjimup, Margaret River and Perth.
The storm will arrive from saturday afternoon.
WHAT TO DO
Trim branches around your home to prevent them falling on your roof or car.
Clear gutters and downpipes so they do not overflow after heavy rain.
Store or weigh down loose objects around your home or work like outdoor furniture that could be picked up and thrown by strong winds, causing damage or injury.
Prepare an emergency kit with a battery operated radio, torch, spare batteries and first aid kit.
Organise an emergency plan, including a plan to evacuate for your family and pets in case your home becomes flooded.

Storm details
At 4.28pm on 31 May 2024 the Bureau of Meteorology advised a vigorous cold front is slowly approaching the West Coast, with a pre-frontal trough forecast to develop over the far southwest of the state from Saturday afternoon.
These features will bring a risk of heavy rain and gusty thunderstorms to the South West district at first, with this risk then spreading to the remainder of the warning area late on Saturday evening into early Sunday morning.
Conditions should temporarily ease during Sunday morning behind the front as it moves inland, although gusty conditions are expected to redevelop over the coastal strip during Sunday afternoon and evening with a vigorous west to southwesterly airstream.
HEAVY RAINFALL which may lead to FLASH FLOODING is possible across the South West district from late Saturday afternoon or early evening, spreading to the Lower West and Central West districts by late Saturday evening or early Sunday morning. Six-hourly rainfall totals between 50 to 75mm are possible. HEAVY RAINFALL is expected to ease by mid Sunday morning.
DAMAGING WINDS, averaging 60 to 70 km/h with peak gusts to around 100 km/h are possible from Saturday afternoon in the South West district, spreading to the Lower West and Central West districts by late Saturday evening or early Sunday morning. DAMAGING WINDS should temporarily ease by mid Sunday morning, but are expected to resume along the coast from Sunday afternoon until late Sunday night.
Locally DESTRUCTIVE WINDS with peak gusts in excess of 125 km/h are also possible from late Saturday into early Sunday morning along the coast with isolated stronger thunderstorms, and could cause SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE OR DESTRUCTION TO HOMES AND PROPERTY.
People in the southwest of WA experience a front as windy as this about three to five times per year. Rainfall totals this weekend are also expected to be higher than those from a typical winter front.
This weather is not unusual for this time of year, but could damage homes and make travel dangerous.
Road closures
Some roads may be closed.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area, reduce speed and drive carefully.
