Serenity Creek Cabin

Serenity Creek Cabin is a private & secluded get away in the Smoky Mountains. Situated on 4.5 acres with an awesome view.

The Story of Serenity Creek

In the spring of 2007, Debbie and I decided to take a convertible road trip vacation. Heading south and then east. My brother and his wife honeymooned in a cabin they rented in the Smoky Mountains. We thought we would like to try that. First stop of this vacation was in Wears Valley, up on Cove Mountain. We booked 3 nights in a great cabin. We loved the cabin despite me breaking my little toe on the reclining chair the first morning heading out to the deck. We booked an extra night at the same cabin seeing it was available. Then off to Asheville, NC. After 2 nights in Asheville, we found ourselves “homesick” for the Smokies. So we spent the rest of our 2 week “road trip” back in Wears Valley renting various cabins.

The next 3 years we spent all our vacation time in Wears Valley renting cabins. Many of them. Enjoying what the area has to offer. Until we decided to buy our own “piece of the Smokies.” With the help of our real estate agent Lin Jordan, who became a close friend, she showed us at least 101 cabins over the years. We actually tripped across a poor real estate listing quite by accident. Lin went to check it out with her husband Greg (a retired cabin builder). They gave us a green light and told us it doesn’t get any better than this. Purchased sight unseen, finally having our spot at the end of 2010. We used our rental experiences to create the blueprint of our get-a-way. It had to be perfect. All the comforts of home, Serenity Creek was born.

Lin also helped us decorate the cabin and hooked us up with Riverwoods Home Furnishing in Wears Valley. This is where all the furniture came from. They custom made the dining table, kitchen island and living room tables. Pay them a visit, Steve and Jodi have a great store. Tell them where you stayed.

An easy ride up the mountain (even for motorcycles, even on a trailer) paved to the front door. Plenty of parking. This spot boasts of privacy, seclusion, a great view, perfect spot to relax, enjoy and recharge your batteries. You can almost hear the banjo music.
