Here is the drop deck lowboy hauling an excavator. No brand truck just a truck. I took a little longer with this one. I carved this at Carv'n the Park this year. I cut this one up and put some detail in it. This was carved with several tools and then hit with the wood burner and some paint. This was also done for the Quint Shrinner's Event this year.

Log truck carved with just a Chainsaw. I made this for an Event for the Quint Shrinner's. This is one of the Event's that we are so honored to be a part of every year.
Had the honor of also making a trophy for an 8 ball tournament for the Statesboro Moose Lodge #1089 . When they said for an 8 ball tournament this was the first thing that popped into my head, and I love the way it turned out.
I had the honor of making some trophies for a Bike Show at the Statesboro Moose Lodge #1089 . These were fun to come up with, I love making trophies!
Here is a custom Re*****on 1100 turkey gun I made for a close friend. I was able to save some white pine from an event in PA for this so it is the lightest shotgun you will ever throw to your shoulder.
Finished up a very cool job today. I was asked to make beams that go around the hood in a kitchen. They sent me a picture of what they wanted and like always I was up for the task. I had a blast making this for them and am so happy with the way it turned out.
I was asked to carve the Tidewater Equipment Company Demo Day in Valdosta, GA. They wanted a couple of carvings, I made them an Owl while at the event but I also provided a finished carving when we showed up. Here it is my take on a tigercat 822e feller buncher. Or as we like to say a cut down machine lol.
Made this owl for the Tidewater Equipment Company Demo Day in Valdosta, GA. We had a great time with amazing people, this was my kinda show.
What an amazing time this past weekend at the Tidewater Equipment Company Demo Day! So much going on all around but I still found the time to carve an owl for the Event and a log truck that found its way to Florida. The Track Feller Buncher ( cut down machine ) was also made for the event.
After every thing got finished it was time for all the last bit of painting, and getting everything mounted, and put together. Once the rocks were finished and we got the jeep mounted then the accessories we were DONE! Here is the finished project.
After this I was almost done, but I needed a driver! Here is were the knowledge that my Grandfather left me with came in handy. One day I will have all the tools he had and it will make some of this even easier. So I carved the guy to drive and made a steering wheel to fit him, and the jeep. Proud of my hand carving this is were I messed up by sharing with a dear friend Bubba who insisted it needed a cooler for the back and possibly some cans 😉 😄. This is when things got out of control lol. I carved an igloo cooler, some cans some crushed, a grill, bag of charcoal, fire extinguisher, a high lift jack, winch for the front, and a shovel. Then it was time to fit it to the rock formation.
After getting most the parts carved by chainsaw, and by hand I then started to fit everything together. Once it all fit it was time to treat it and paint. Once I had everything painted then came the fun part of putting it together. This was hands down such a blast to put together, almost like putting together a model that I built.
Sorry it has been a while since I have posted anything. I have been busy doing other stuff with work and family. However I started my first carving of the year a month and a half or so ago, this is the most detailed carving I have done. I have been wanting to do something that can show off what I can do, I could have even went into more detail but at the beginning I wasn't even going to go as far as I did. This may not be the most detailed carving I am capable of but I am so so happy with it. I have a ton of pictures so I will be making a few posts, from the beginning to the end. I usually go to the gorilla glue when I have messed something up but this is the first time I used the same chunk of wood to cut out pieces and build something out of it, and these are the results.
Working on a couple of things that are not finished yet for the The Real Squeal: Lyons Barbeque & Music Festival where I will be set up carving. If you want to see them finished come see me. We will have this lighthouse finished, we will have some GA bulldogs, and some other stuff.
UGA #2 I really love the way this one turned out. We hated to let him go to his new home. I hope everyone likes it, I like it alot better than the first one.
Who Let The Dawgs OUT Who Who!! UGA that I made for a local Shrinner's Auction, to benefit the Children's Hospital.
GA Dawgs National Champion sign I made.
A Vidalia Onion truck I made for a local Shrinner's auction, to benefit the Children's Hospital.
Deer bust a made for a local Shrinner's auction, for the Children's Hospital.
Well we didn't get it but it was not because I didn't try! I had an amazing time at Carv'n the Park with my carving family. I worked so hard this weekend to try to finish in time, of course I took on a huge detailed project. There is alot that goes into making these tractors, trucks, and equipment and such I can't believe I actually got it all done. Here is my farm themed bench.
Carv'n the Park, I can't wait!!
It is taking me forever but little by little I have been getting some of the tools like my Grandfather used to use. A year or two ago I got a good woodburner like he used to use. I don't have as many tips for it as he did, I am still collecting I will get there one day. Anyway I have been working on some woodburnings to take with us to shows. Here are some that we will have with us in Swainsboro.
When your son has an idea you bring it to life. CJ had a teacher that has left them and he wanted to give her a going away present. This was all his idea and he even had a nice little note of the bottom for her. This was my first time ever carving an apple.
