Ex-officio: Maintaining an ex-officio position at ASUW to promote sustainable efforts within all decisions made at UW
Compost: Campaigning for a partnership between the City of Laramie and UW for industrial composting to divert harmful waste from th
Food waste is contributes to climate change, wastes resources, and harms biodiversity. The most effective way to reduce these impacts is to prevent food waste before it can happen. Here is some information, and some ways you can help!! Feeding Laramie Valley is a GREAT resource where you can compost, as well as our campus Food Pantry where you can donate or pick up free food.

Hi guys, get excited because we have CLUB TOMORROW!!! We are super excited about this meeting, it was a HUGE hit last year and we revamped it to be more informational and engaging. LEED certification is something not a lot of students know about, but is a part of our everyday lives here on campus. Sustainable buildings are COOL, come learn about the ones we have here! See you tomorrow at 6:30 :)

Happy start of the semester, students and faculty! Everyone get excited because the first sustainability club of the semester is TOMORROW night, Wednesday 9/4, at 5:30 pm. Join us at the Beta House in room 205 to discuss agenda and come up with ideas for the club this year while making crafts! We can’t wait to see you all there and get the ball rolling on a great year 🌿🌏🚮

The Coalition and the Wyoming Conservation Corps are hosting a glass recycling drive on Friday, 4/22 at 11:30 outside the Wyoming Union! If you are on your way to the Climate Summit, or just have some glass to get rid of, please swing by! If you are interested in volunteering for this, email us at [email protected] and we'll sign you up!
Also, the Shepard Symposium is looking for trash talkers! These folks stand by various waste bins and tell patrons how to divert their waste. Click the link in our bio, then select "VOLUNTEER" to learn more about times and to registration.

Hey everyone! The Sustainability Coalition, through the Shepard Symposium, is hosting the Laramie Climate Action Summit, Friday, April 22nd from 12-4pm Union Ballroom AND over zoom!
The event will feature speakers on global, state, and local climate change issues, followed by a presentation on recommendations, made by a joint community-university task force on climate action, for a climate action commitment at the university. The final part will include breakout rooms where community members (YOU!) get to voice feedback towards these recommendations and more!
If you are interested and passionate about climate change and what UW & Laramie should do about it, please come by! REGISTRATION IS LINKED BELOW There is also a pre-event survey that’ll be sent out (stay tuned for more on that).
