Embarking on a momentous journey, the CSU Debate Society proudly hosted its inaugural webinar on November 25, 2023, a pivotal event that brought together the finest minds in the realm of discourse. This landmark occasion featured a distinguished guest speaker, Mr. Sigmund Heaven C. Tagueg, the current Vice President for Training and Development of the esteemed Athena Debate Group, whose wealth of experience promised to enrich the intellectual fabric of the event.

The virtual stage was set, and four groups of debaters eagerly embraced the opportunity to engage in thought-provoking dialogue. The opening debate witnessed two groups, each comprised of three articulate members, delving into the complex subject of "THIS HOUSE BELIEVES THAT DISCLOSURE OF SALN MUST BE MANDATORY." As the arguments unfolded, the virtual auditorium resonated with the clash of ideas and the artistry of rhetoric. Simultaneously, another riveting discourse unfolded with the theme "THIS HOUSE REGRETS THE IDEA OF TOTGA." Two more groups, equally passionate and well-prepared, grappled with the intricacies of regret in the context of 'The One That Got Away.'

The Vice President of Athena Debate Group, serving as the guiding beacon throughout, shared insights, expertise, and commendable perspectives, elevating the intellectual tenor of the entire event.

The audience, consisting of debaters from the CSU Debate Society, found themselves enthralled by the depth of discussion and the articulation of ideas. The CSU Debate Society's inaugural webinar was more than just an online event; it left a lasting impression on everyone involved. The mix of different perspectives, the sense of community in debating, and the shared pursuit of truth made it a significant step in society's growth. It highlighted the impact of words, ideas, and the collective passion for intellectual exploration.

Team 2 wins the first match on the motion: This house believes that (THBT) disclosure of SALN must be mandatory to all public servants. Adame Vhon Infiel takes home the best speaker award, and Angelyn Agcaoili bags the best debater.

Team 6 wins as the best debating team for the second matchup on the motion: This house regrets (THR) the concept of "The One that Got Away." The best speaker goes to Mark Trovan Navor, and the best debater is Patrick Lucas Apostol.
