Spring can't come quick enough!
It's been a brutal ..non stop snow and cold winter since Dec.
I know we're just not used to real heavy duty winters anymore but enough is enoughπππ
Im happy to announce that It's time to start seedlings indoors.
Make sure:
-your soul is a good moist potting mix
-your tray has bottom warmth and a cover
-light is not an issue til seedlings appear
-make sure there is good ventilation to avoid rotting so take lid off for couple hrs in day - night is cooler so not suggested
-water soil with spritzer
Happy planting and please share what you are growing ββ¨πΈπΌπ·

Hi all my fellow garden artists!!
Spring is slowly creeping in and with all this rain, its a great time to scatter hardy seeds, poppies, bachelor button, cosmos, sunflower, marigold, lupin, coneflower, lavatera, nasturtium, daisy, gypsophilia,
these all start well on there own with moist , milder conditions and can bear the cooler temps as sprouts
Edging and cleanup is easier with rain as well.
so get on your rain gear and enjoy setting up your garden canvas for colouring !!
Project idea for backyard fun:
grow mammoth sunflowers in a square or round leaving enough room for a couple kids
this creates a flower house fort and shade
you can also grow morning glory vines amongst the sunflower stalks for more colour and shade
Share your ideas when you can!!
Happy Spring

Anyone who can, should visit the biggest gardening venue in our area Canada Blooms running in Toronto March 13-22
Great venue showing all aspects of gardening, design, light and water effects etc.
Great day out and definitely Gets the creative juices flowing :D
well here we are already in March 2015!!
I am happy to report, we all made it out of the deep freeze
unscathed :)
I am happy to say also that it is time to start indoors seeds and start planning out new additions to your garden spaces and thinking about how your yard functions according to your wants and needs.
I am planning to move an existing fire pit farther back in our yard and extend existing gardens along back fence line
I will share the progress of both of these personal along with my professional before and after shots, as the weather allows :)
Please feel free to post questions, thoughts or pics of your projects.
Feeling positive and encouraged to get back to the gardens and be outside most of the day again :)
Creatively Yours,
Carmen
