Hello all. After a busy October I’ll be preparing to host a couple of workshops in November December.
A wreath making class where we’ll forage in the morning. Have a light lunch then craft a beautiful winter wreath together.
A mixed media painting workshop where we’ll craft a winter wonderland canvas, mulled wine and a hot bowl of vegan soup.

Children from a very young age should be taught that the Sun rises in the East and sets in the West. That if you point your right hand to the East, your face will face North and your back will face South.
That the direction of the water in a river often runs towards the sea. That the Moon rises in the East and sets in the West, that if there is no moon there is a star that indicates the north and your latitude. That the more to the horizon you see the Polar Star, the closer you are to the Equator, if you see a bird in the middle of the sea it is because there is land in the vicinity of where it flies.

Respect and love for animals, trees, the earth, and the elements that give us life.

Teach them all this before giving them a cell phone because the cell phone runs out and the signal is lost... wisdom is never lost.

Let's not let them lose connection.

"Above all, do not lose your desire to walk. Everyday, I walk myself into a state of well-being and walk away from every illness. I have walked myself into my best thoughts, and I know of no thought so burdensome that one cannot walk away from it. But by sitting still, and the more one sits still, the closer one comes to feeling ill. Thus if one just keeps on walking, everything will be all right."

“Everyone who terrifies you is sixty-five percent water.
And everyone you love is made of stardust, and I know sometimes you cannot even breathe deeply, and the night sky is no home,
and you have cried yourself to sleep enough times that you are down to your last two percent, but
nothing is infinite,
not even loss.
You are made of the sea and the stars, and one day
you are going to find yourself again.”

What an uplifting message and image

"You’re going to realize it one day — that happiness was never about your job, or your degree, or being in a relationship. Happiness was never about following in the footsteps of all of those who came before you, it was never about being like the others. One day, you’re going to see it — that happiness was always about the discovery, the hope, the listening to your heart and following it wherever it chose to go. Happiness was always about being kinder to yourself, it was always about embracing the person you were becoming. One day, you will understand. That happiness was always about learning how to live with yourself, that happiness was never in the hands of other people. It was always about you. It was always about you."

Beautifully curated by Ralph with the most discerning eye. Showcasing some exquisitely executed works of art. I particularly fell in love with the works of Dewi Tudur Ffin y Parc Gallery

“Do the kind of things that come from the heart, When you do, you won’t be dissatisfied, you won’t be envious, you won’t be longing for somebody else’s things. On the contrary, you’ll be overhelmed with what comes back.”

The creation of Danii ‘Keeper of The Hedgerows .
Portrait painting is always easier(or should be) when you paint the face of the one you love the most or know best.
Yet once you begin it can be torture, as it’s so crucial to capture the essence of them.
In this piece I wanted to portray not just the face of my daughter but all that she is. The woman she has become and as I see her.
The title was inspired from her own art practice of creating exquisite jewellery from wild flowers and hedgerows and of her love of all things botanical.
