So, I've had to start from scratch with a shiny new Instagram account. Could you please click on the link below and follow my new IG account? Thank you!

I proofread this memoir for Allen & Unwin. With little prior knowledge about the AFL, I was quite surprised by how compelling Nicky’s story is - especially his experience with racism. This would be a great Christmas present for sports lovers!

I’m stoked to be part of the Author Pen Pals program! Today I received a parcel from my buddy class - actually, buddy school, as there are only seven students in the whole school - complete with letters, artwork and school merch. I loved reading all about the students’ lives in the outback (so different from the way I grew up in the city!), and I’m buoyed by how many of them say they adore reading!
I was super-excited to receive my copies of the children's anthology Hot Diggety Dog! Tales from the Bark Side, featuring my short story entitled 'Where's Rex?'. The cover is fur-bulous, and the stories and poems are paw-some! 🐶 If you'd like a copy of the anthology, head over to the Amazon or Barnes & Noble website. All profits go to sponsoring a Story Dog, which will visit schools to create 'a safe, fun, supportive, non-judgemental environment for primary school aged children needing assistance with literacy'.
I enjoyed the launch of ZineWest 2023 today. My adults’ short story entitled ‘Crossroads’ appears in the zine, as well as two of my photographs (‘Still Life’ and ‘Ebony Devil’).

I came home from overseas to this wonderful surprise! I won third prize in a Duck Pond competition held to celebrate Fairy Tale Month in September, and received a copy of Flyaway by the supremely talented Kathleen Jennings, plus a packet of intriguing Wayfarer cards. Thanks to Jen Storer and Kathleen Jennings for these fabulous goodies!

I have been involved in the Australian publishing industry for over 20 years – first as a copywriter and then as an editor, project manager, proofreader and author.
I have worked on more than 100 non-fiction books, and have written about subjects as varied as the history of Christianity, Native American mythology, vampires, knights and the death of Hollywood film stars. Some of the books for which I am credited as an author or contributor include Outside In Gains a Soul (ATB Publishing, 2019), It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas (Lilly Pilly Publishing, 2018) and From Quarantine to Q Station (Arbon Publishing, 2016). In 2019 alone, I had short stories and/or poems published in five different anthologies as well as in The School Magazine (Blast Off, March 2019).
My first love has always been children’s books, and I have written stories for young children for many years. I am listed as an Emerging Author on the Creative Kids Tales (CKT) website, I am a moderator for the Creative Kids Tales Network page, and I am a children’s book reviewer for the Buzz Words website. My children’s short story entitled ‘The Tree’ was short-listed for the ZineWest 2018 awards, and my pitch for I Don’t Want to be a Pirate! was long-listed for the 2018 Just Write For Kids Pitch It! Competition.
In 2019, two of my kids’ short stories (‘Max’s Magic Undies’ and ‘The Squash Monster’) and a poem (‘The Hairy Beast of Oberon’) were published in The Creative Kids Tales Story Collection 2, and my kids’ short story entitled ‘The Last Mince Pie’ appeared in A Christmas Cornucopia (Christmas Press). In 2020, my kids’ poem ‘Hatastrophe’ will be published in Fire Burn, Cauldron Bubble: Magical Poems Chosen by Paul Cookson (Bloomsbury UK).
