Reasons why you shouldn’t leave your parents in a nursing home:
-most nursing homes are understaffed and will not usually meet the quality of care the patient will need.
-most patients who ended up in a nursing home or ended up in hospice home for 60 to 70% chances of dying due to lack of care and lack of hope sense they are alone and there’s no immediate family to actually talk and make them feel better. Sometimes communicating is more of a medicine than the actual medicine, medicine will put them to sleep or worsen their condition.
- they are usually alone and will miss meals and self-care or basic self-care like shower or just going to the bathroom.
-Some of the nurses are desensitized to patients because they’ve been around death and illnesses so to them it’s just a job.
- most of the time they are alone in the room with no one to talk to, and usually depression occurs which puts them when the worst condition, loneliness, and sadness, and not being around family is usually cause of their declining health.
-Some nursing homes have mistreated patients and cause more harm to the patient since they work long hours sometimes stress and anger kicks in and vents it to the defenseless patient.
-just imagine you’re in this situation and put yourself in that situation. How will you feel being in a nursing home or hospice?
I’m saying this because I’ve seen it, worked in the health care, and also it’s seen on the news , but seeing it in person is worse because you dread for that day for your parent to go through the same situation. -MiL

When you do the right thing, you get rewarded.
“Do the right thing” it’s just a movie, but it has a good message. People who don’t choose the right thing usually made their lives harder. For some people who can’t do the right thing because of their own bad choices in the past that becomes harder for them to the right thing. Never begin with a lie.
